Lab, some meditative moss contemplation might help with that. GL to you and millbodacious (Rosie ), Rindaroo, Tammy and Johnny in your races.
Econo, dunno if you wanted to do slow, pokey miles, but working too hard and double choco dinner? Grrrrr. (Although maybe a step up from tomwhite's chicken lasagna)
Hey, aren't crunches kind of passé?

1 hour pool running @ 65%
(Dunno how far but a mile seems unfathomable)

I'm so happy FF is here, it's time to turn up the music REAL LOUD! Happy Friday.

Oh, BAH!

"i am here today to talk about the uplift-mofo-party-plan; a plan based on a band, a band based on a plan."

you know, if pink keeps mooning, i could become a regular here...

Those crunches are making you dyslectic. That or pink's mooning.

Flea is in pretty fine physical shape. Nothing like a decent pair of interferential gonch to get the rhythm going.

Banterful Friday.

Friday greetings to all. Good racing wishes go out to all the competitive weekenders.

Team D is going to officially request that ksrunr be drug tested before the VRAA is concluded.

I can run a mile faster than pro can swim it. That rocks. It is closer than it should be.

Hiya FF....good to see you and glad you are getting healthy.

Long run tomorrow, so today I'll just do a few easy miles. I'll be rushed anyway since it's poker night and I'll have to grab some dinner before going. It won't be lasagna.

3J's that post was funny - thanks.

Labduck - We haven't thrown in the towel yet but it's not looking too good. I know every team has injuries and it's pretty much a crap shoot to see who's on your team; but we have 2 team mates one who has scored just under Sherpa J's total and one just over. I do have a slight chance of getting overall?

ksrunr

somehow I doubt ksrunr needs to be drug-tested. He sort of strikes me as an honest type of guy.

by the way ksrunr - were you running this kind of mileage prior to VRAA? or is this just bringing out your superbada$$ competitive side?

Pie:

Love the Red Hot Chili Peppers...thanks SS.

Good luck racers!

SS, it's impossible for me to not crank-up the ending guitar solo in that song. And...almost ashamed to admit...whip out my air guitar. A brief (very) foray into Right Brain land.

you're sounding a bit robotic there Sal . . . you okay??

Thanks for covering my back Tamsterina. The only drug you'll find in me is ice cream and diet pepsi. I was just beginning to ramp up my miles from 40ish a week when I spotted this vraa. I'm combining the medium and high mileage pfitz marathon plan. This little competition just came at the right time for me.

Mustang Sally - just give up and give in to your desires. Well at least browsing....

I used to waitress during college summers at an ice cream place (Friendly's). I always used to wonder why people would order huge sundaes and then order a diet Coke . At that point, it really doesn't matter.

My favorite snack there during slow periods was a Reese's PB Cup with a squirt of hot fudge on it - mmmmmmmmm!

I love the Chilis too. Did you know that Flea has a french bulldog? One thing that's funny is that their music is usually pretty slowly-paced, but their dancing is absolutely frenetic. I love to watch the videos when I'm running on the treadmill. I was actually on the treadmill the first time I saw the OK Go video, which is a real hoot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv5zWaTEVkI

ksrunr may not admit he's being mega-badass competitive, but it sounds like he knows how many points all his teamates have scored, as well as some of mine...maybe just a wee-bit competitive...
Heck, I don't even know how many points I've scored during VRAA, but I'm pretty sure it's not even half of ksrunr's! It's great to see a Master's runner on top. That also goes for you too botboy and mc!

Sal, just drink some more coffee and you'll finish your project in a flash...then you can slack...if it's possible after having more coffee. Vicious cycle!

I have no clue how many points I've contributed to my team either. I'm sure our team captain could give me that number if asked. I'll probably ask about it at the end and see where my percentage lies.

or, I could just ask ksrunr. . .

VRAA is an interesting game. Being accountable to a team has kept me on track with cross-training when I might have skipped it. I can see how a competitive person might overdo it and end up injured.

There is an effort to make the teams fair, but the way things worked out this time, Team F was never a contender. It would take another ksrunr to put us back in the top three. Still, it has been motivational, at least to me. I don't know about the rest of Team F, since we don't interact much. For all I know they're huddling in a corner making fun of me.

Recommended.

Pink - pb cups and hot fudge - decadent. I need to try that. I drink diet pepsi simply because I like the taste better than most non diet sodas.

Tamster I do not know how many points you have or anyone else. (Busily checking my spread sheet). I only know mine 'cause they're posted. I did go back 2-3 weeks ago checking on 2 of my team mates who dropped off the face of the earth.

Am I competitive? hehehehehehhe. Not to the point that it controls me. But if I line up at a race; it's on and I don't care about what age they are. You run what you brought to the race.

Not sure I can believe that!

I agree with Lab. I'd love to see our Masters kick some youthful smooth-skinned derriere. YEAH!

I know Mustang Sally is not into slacktivity like some of you layabouts, but maybe she'll pop in briefly so I can remind her the CIS National Cross-Country Championships are tomorrow just a hop, skip and plyometric jump from you.

Go VIKES!

There now, that's better. I have the stoopid report off to the manager.

It only gets nuttier from here: no slakctivity from this Mustang until late in the evening:

Maybe I'll pop into IRC tonight when it's all over.

Sans, I'm planning my LR tomorrow on pieces of the RVM course. Maybe I'll trot over to the park afterward and watch the sleek fast things whip around and around that loopy course.
