Morning pro. Good swim I think. Course any swim you don't drown is good. Millbot is lurking about as he posted his vraa points already. 16.5 miles this a.m. for me in 8:08 avg. Will try some bike riding this afternoon.

Nice swim, Pro.

Nice long run, ksrunr. I think your team is going to win the VRAA.

I'm finishing a light week before tomorrow's 5K. I feel heavy and slow. More so than usual, I mean.

Hiya
I am going to go look at cars after work, although I kind of have my mind set on a CRV. Still I should look at a few others I think. So no exercise for me.
It's raining here anyway blah

MustangSally, so I take it the dog is OK? What was the diagnosis?

Today was just PT for me, which felt great. Tomorrow morning I'll do some elliptical before I have to take a stupid defensive driving course. I'm only taking it to get the discount on my collision insurance. Bah humbug.

Hally, I had looked at the CRV last winter and liked it but it was more car than I needed. I ended up getting a 2007 Subaru Impreza wagon and think it's the bee's knees! Love my little car! It's fantastic in bad weather and is real peppy and pretty comfy. My only complaint is that it's fairly noisy.

Hi, Susan.

Still don't have a diagnosis. Detailed report is at the tail of last night's thread, short version is, "please get an ultrasound so we can see what's going on in there." So we will. Meanwhile, she is tripod-ing around and plotting her takeover.

ETA: Rest day today, thank goodness. Last night's workouts included lots of planks.

I don't run until after work today but I wanted to post banter since banter is good.

Sally, thanks for the laugh with my coffee...or thank Storm!! LOL

Good early morning workouts everyone. I'll be trying to squeeze mine in before it gets dark on the West coast. Morning workouts just don't work for my body!!

Don't you just love tomwhite's sense of humor? He has the best one-liners. I bet he keeps Pickles in stitches.

What is this VRAA thing you speak of?

choovie, the VRAA is a contest where ksrunr makes the rest of us look like slugs.

VRAA = virtual race across America. You and your team earn points by running, cycling, and doing other workouts. The first team to complete the course wins ... um, well ... bragging rights, I guess.

Details are in the VRAA forum.

Good Morning/Afternoon!

KS - nice LR!
Mill - heavy legs this morning must mean speedy race tomorrow - GL!

I took the last 2 days off. It's cool and cloudy here today. I ran 12 miles in 1:36:36. I like when there's a little pattern in the number. My right cheek is still sore some but my hamstring did not seem to bother me too much today. I better go stretch now and take a nice hot shower to warm up!

Hmmmm, we'll just see about that! Go Team H!!!

I had a dream last night that I ran a marathon. For some reason, I ran with my Garmin in my pocket so I wouldn't look at it. When I hit the 20 mile mark, I pulled it out and saw that my average pace was 7:15/mi. I panicked when I saw it; too fast I thought, I'm going to bonk. Stuffed it back in my pocket to prevent that from happening. I guess it worked... IF only it were that easy!

BTW, 7:15/mi is the pace I want to run in my 5 mile race on Sunday.

Johnny checking in, without banter.

A rest day today, saving strength for tomorrow to cheer the Tamster on to a 5K PR, and, as if that's not enough, accompany Rinda in the same 5K as she moves along the comeback trail.

I'm pretty sure team F has no chance of winning the VRAA, actually we don't have much chance of even getting out of last place .

I have a feeling after I run a few long with Johnny and his Garmin, I'll be wishing for one of those too . . .

going to the gym during my lunch for a run, then will do some core work tonight. My Team C slipped big time - we've consistently been right around 3rd/4th place. I gotta do what I can to rack up some points this weekend. I have a long weekend, so that should help.

it's supposed to be fairly cold and wet tomorrow a.m. I really am not sure what I should wear - running tights? shorts? skirt? I've run in low 40's before with shorts, but it wasn't damp. And with all this fog and dampness here lately, low 40 feels colder than what it really is . . . yet i don't want to overheat either.
