3.3 mile run after work today. Felt good, my legs felt pretty fresh and I was rewarded with my training run that gave me my first sub 10 min/mile pace.

Each loop at this park I use is .825 miles.

loop 1 -- 9:00, just start it out nice and easy
loop 2 -- 8:33, still pretty easy, just a bit more effort
loop 3 -- 7:52, cranking it up some
loop 4 -- 7:26, let's try to go hard

32:51. Not bad, a fairly even progression in pace improvement.

Tractors. A friend of mine is a John Deer collector. He has a few smaller ones to use. His mailbox is .....yes similiar to this

I have a green and yellow tractor like T-rev's. Mowing the yard is a two beer job. Grab one for the back yard. Stop in the driveway, throw the empty in the trash, reload, proceed to the front yard. Repeat once per week, unless there's a drought, then repeat once per month.

NQOD - I don't usually eat anything before unless I'm going 14-15 miles. Sometimes I carry a banana with me if I can tell I didn't eat enough the day before. And yes, I eat it on the run without issues.

Parkers - All this time I've been talking about running GR Dh thought I was talking about GR, OH (20 min away), not GR, MI (3 hours away.) (I know I told him MI when I signed up for it, but he must have hit his listening-to-her-talk-about-running quota before I got that far. )

Grrr.... did all my brain cells leak out my eyes & nose? I really did have something else to say....

Man O Man!! My fibular head was lock up. The DO spent a good 10 minutes getting it moving again. But I feel GREAT now.

Katholeenie - Between the OH/MI and your brain comin' out ya nose are you gonna go the distance??

boB - I suck at trivia... Yeah. Woah! Really hard. I think that maybe I know two of the artists, but I'm not even sure of that.

I didn't know katholeenie was going to be at GR!

I'm getting really nervous about this marathon...

Well, those cutting reels on that F-10 are basically spinners, and the reels already go up and down with hydraulics, so I don't see the why not...

Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

I just rolled my ankle. Again. I did my speed workout at the track (4x800 this week, per Coach A) with my friend M again. To get to and from the track, we run through my neighborhood, across a little bridge over a creek, and through a small patch of a wooded area. After our last 800, we jogged 3 laps and then set back for my house (about .65 miles from the track). I rolled my ankle almost immediately and heard the ligament pop. Again.

This is so fucking NOT an option!!!!!!!!!!!

I did manage to walk back to my house, and now I have my ankle wrapped in ice.

I've got blurry proof!!

That race seems like a hundred years ago!

Anyway, just finished 7 miles on the treadmill. It was rainy and cold and I was feeling supremely unmotivated, so I figured I'd change it up a bit. It was boring, but I think it was a bit kinder on my legs. My left knee is hangin' in there, but it's dodgey.

That's about all I got. No lawn tractors for me. This is what I use:
