So completely wasted on me. I didn't even know what 4:20 meant until Heather explained it to me earlier this year.

WHERE IS THE %#&ING BLUSHING SMILEY??????

Oh my. I've been there. It's a bad place.

I actually was trying to put up a funny pic from when I was about, um, 14? but it didn't work.

I love it!

BTW, great pics of both yours and PTom's kids. Reminds me that I want to try to get some of my nephews & nieces over to Traintown near here soon.

You are lucky - all my DD wants to hear at this point is Hannah Montana.

On a related note, it is actually Sharpay. ANd you wander why I drink...

Speaking of which, I still have plenty of leftovers from my Octoberfest, and the wife and kids are not home tonight. All are invited.

I promise I won't single quote everything. . .

Beaker and Moe, I like this advice, but most programs I've found are 5 days/wk, and I'm only used to running 3, so I'm trying to build up to adding more days. Also, most of the programs assume a longer weekly base than I currently have (my biggest week was 10.5). I'm doing a modified 5k plan (modified by taking out 2 runs/wk) with a 7 mile LR as the longest run, and then I was thinking of going back to do it with an extra day, and then doing it again adding the 5th day. By that point, I think I would have built a good enough base to start a 10k program. I don't know if that's good or not, but I don't want to jump from 10.5 in 3 d/w to 15 miles in 5 d/w. I think that's the perfect recipe for injury and giving up.

Litch - I'm a skeptic - but maybe this week-end, if I can find one, I'll try one. For you.

What time shall I be there?

And, once again, why are you not my neighbor?

Litchfield, that's what? a couple hours from Boston? I'll be there by 7.

So funny story. My sister just told me about my 2.5 yo nephew; she gave him a couple of peanut M&Ms for the first time the other day. She said, he ate one, looked up at her with this huge grin and said,

Momma, these balls are delicious!

OK, I'm outta here. Won't be back until Wednesday.

GREAT pics everyone (avatars and others). It's been a blast getting to see everyone. We are indeed quite a lucky group... witty, friendly, athletic, AND good-looking.

Have a great weekend!!

Special good luck wishes to Kriddie, Semi Speedy, and anyone else who is racing, running long, or just getting out there and putting one foot in front of the other. Or not... Good wishes to everyone!

Try these programs...maybe consider starting the Half training a few weeks in...and it will eventually get you to 4 runs a week.
