Holy hell 100 posts already gang!!!

RFTL I am in for the 10 miler for sure!!

No time to read the thread so skimmed as best I could it appears there is some link I need to check out, I will try to do that for sure if I can find it in the previous posts

Happy B-day TIM!!!

Gang I desperately need a goal race to train for. I have run twice since TC and keep bailing on running cuz I know I can. maybe if I end up puking my guts out in the 10-miler on the 4th I will wise up.

oh and QOD People who read a newspaper over my shoulder...I want to kick their ass...

The lady only goes counter clockwise. Right? You mean I have to focus on this? Nevermind. I don't have time or patience today. What if you already know you are creative?

Morning. Crabby today. I'll spare you all why.

Happy 25 th B-day Tim!!! Oh, you aren't 25? Well, you wear whatever age you are well. Enjoy!

Brandy's flashing thingee, eh? And, I read it as "bass... as in fish", too, Maples.

Speaking of MN, I will be up near Cross Lake this weekend enjoying a friends...er..."cabin". It is actually a lake-front second home and I'm usually petrified when we stay there that I'll ruin some expensive thing, but it's free and a nice gift to us each year for helping, so I won't turn it down!

So, sadly, I'm not racing this weekend...at least with the MN crew. Hey! Maybe there is something local in the nort-land I could do?

Hi Duckie from last night...oh...reminding me of Duckie, this weather for us is very Oregonian to me so it doesn't feel that odd or depressing...yet. I kinda like running in it, to be honest.

Okay, I don't know if I'll stop in again today but I'll catch you all this weekend for sure!

Vestavia Hills is a chip shot from where I am [especially sitting at my desk at the office; i could run there from here]. Cullman is in between Birmingham and Huntsville. Flem and DW's parents are both in Huntsville, so we burn up that stretch of I-65 going back and forth to visit the inlaws. We've stopped in Cullman many times for bathroom and McDs breaks.

Geebus! Would you believe I almost got hit again! Again, it was a woman in a beige minivan making a right turn. Different woman, different beige minivan, and different intersection, but eerily similar.

I had just started my run. I was running for less than a minute. I was on the main street coming up to a side street. I obviously have the right of way, so I enter the crosswalk and begin to run across the side street. There's no traffic light at this intersection, but there is a stop sign. The woman in the minivan comes up to the intersection, looking to make a right turn onto the street I am running on.

She slows down (a little), and looks to her left to see if any traffic is coming from that way. She doesn't even bother to take a look to her right to see if there is anything over there (such as a pedestrian). Luckily I was watching her face the whole way, so I was able to anticipate her rolling thru the stop sign, and I was able to jump out of the way before there was contact.

A couple days ago when the other lady nudged me, at least she stopped and apologized profusely. I was still rather ticked off that she had run the light and ran into me, but at least she was sorry about it. This woman today had no such remorse. She yelled at me as if I did something wrong, and then she sped off. I wish I had gotten her license plate number...

Well, that's that. It's been an ugly couple of days for me when it comes to traffic...

As for my run, it wasn't so good. I failed miserably in my attmept at 18 miles. Perhaps that woman in the minivan threw me off my game, but I don't think that was it. I just wasn't feeling it. Maybe it's all the emotion from the week, or whatever. I just didn't have the energy for 18. I ended up with 5.5, and I guess that's that. Oh well, I can live with it. Maybe I'll try again later in the weekend for a few more miles, if I can find the time...

Now let me read the rest of the posts today and respond appropriately...

She's totally moving clockwise.

Do not, I repeat, do not get on the subway with your paper then. All kinds of over the shoulder readers there. And they'll all looking for a fight too. You turned the page too fast

That just happened here! OSU has its own power station and apparently they were making some sort of upgrade and the power for the entire university went down for about 25 minutes. I have a basement office. No windows. It was like being in a cave, I literally could not see my hand in front of my face until I opened the door into the hallway where the emergency lights were on.

We were all disappointed when the power came back on. We were thinking " Day off from work!"

That's only because the amazing and talented Maureen and her innovative ways, her willingness to try new and adventurous things is not so surprising. We already know she is a Badass!!!!!

but yeah, I was surprised no one said anything...it made me laugh out loud though.

Good Morning!

It is a glorious fall day in NNY. But apparently the thunderstorms are heading our way. Putting the kibosh on the Homecoming bonfire that was scheduled for tonight. The kids at school are bummed.

Maria Thanks for remembering me. I'm 3 hours away from Ro-cha-cha. 1hr east and 2 hrs north.

Happy Birthday Timr!
Of course, Birthday cake is calorie free...sharing it with friends=negative calories...so pass me a piece already, would ya?

My sister just sent me an email and I'm sharing it with you...in honor of our great dads and moms (old, new and to-be).
Dads please insert Dad for Mom. I am truly impressed at the great dads we have here and mean no slight...in all honesty, you probably kick my parenting butt.

Before I was a Mom -

I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.
~
Before I was a Mom -

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night.
~
Before I was a Mom

I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
~
Before I was a Mom

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put them down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small, could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew just how much I would love being a Mom.
~
Before I was a Mom -

I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.

I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't understand the bond between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
~
Before I was a Mom -

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,

Or the wonderment and satisfaction of being a Mom.
~
Before I was a Mom -

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much.
I think that was a great answer!

Yea, I've gone on several runs with LilBro2 who just dropped out.

Big ups on the run, Mapes!

I thought the same thing. I was thinkin', put a worm on the freakin' hook and throw the damn thing in the water!

Lemme axe you something... If two yutes...

Ooh, I've been guilty of this. I was run out of the office once by my coworkers. My fever was only 103 or so. And I had some stuff that I had to get done.

I was gonna say left. Ok, at first I saw her moving counter-clockwise. I went back to actually read what it had to say and before I even read, she was moving clockwise. It was like she changed direction. I think I might've pulled my left brain.

My theory is after the tap discussion she posted a little live action tap demo. I think the guys were waiting on the live action pole dancing demo to be posted!!!! Oh and something my college roommate who worked in a strip club told me...the poles spins!!!

Bob, your story just supports my theory that NJ drivers are the worst in the universe.

(No offense meant to our fabulous NJ people, all of whom are the exception!!)

Seriously, glad you're OK.
