Hi ya'll. Looks like some good running happening out there. Good representin' folks.

Yesterday after my 16M LR (I actually completed this one w/out walking, WOOHOO!!), DW the kiddos and I went out for a hike in the Sipsey Wilderness. I had seen that a waterfall on trail 209, had made Backpacker's Top 10 campsites, so I wanted to check it out. Thanks to our severe drought howvever, the waterfall was MIA. But it was a beautiful hike w/ lots of neat bluffs and caves to check out along the way.

Here are some pics.

Thanks Tonya...that's what I suspected, but it just looked so funny/weird only on that one side. Although that *is* my weaker side...maybe I just need more spinach.

Flem - great pics.

Not sure how many want to see it, or how many will on the weekend thread, but the tattoo is healed enough for pics. So here it is, completed.

Way to go EQ!

Great pix Flem & nice finished ink, kp.

Last night we got a sitter for DD and went up to my cousins (only 2 miles up) and scared a bunch of 13 year olds. She was having a halloween party for her daughters friends. They live in the woods and made trails where they put all kinds of scarey stuff on it and made them do a scavenger hunt. The adults all hid and scared them. The decorations were awesome and it was a ton of fun. The adults who didn't hide in the woods hung out on the deck. DH had a bit too many beers when he was done terrorizing kids. It was a lot of fun.

This morning we headed to West Chester for an Air Show (RotorFest). It's the only helicopter air show around apparently. It was really cool. I enjoyed the military choppers the best. The Chinook & Black Hawks were my favorites. Awesome weather to be outside. It was chilly in the morning but then it was 72 and sunny!

Anyway, just popping in to say hi. DD is bugging me to go in the hot tub. Theia can attest that this is a laborous job. You have to play barbie's and you are only allowed to have Aurora. Ariel, Belle and Snow White are DD's favorites and noone can play with them. But its still fun.

Later taters!

No, but I've spent a lot of time there. I love Pgh!!

Thanks everyone for the good vibes, motivational sayings, and/or butt-kicking that you gave me on Friday. I did make it out for my weekend run today. Physically felt OK, hope to get back on track with my weekday runs this week.

The course is extremly flat and the weather is always nice, you shouldnt have any issues BQing here. This is making my life hard, I now know 6 people that are running either the full or the half at PF Changs. Drunk registering ( I need to try that someday ) flying across country to hang with a bunch of cool peeps who I have never met in person ( 2nd trip coming up ) and running in some really adverse conditions. I'm more sore today than I was after the TC 10 Mile last weekend, and I didn't run at all! (Went on a much needed vacation with DH, no kids; Did accomplish a lot of beer drinking, crappy food eating and LOTS of walking while sightseeing!

Now I have to ask. Which one of you owns this car? C'mon, how many 'wooters' are out there?

BTW - You Pburghers - great trails out there just west of the city. Love 'em.

I installed car seats and assembled the crib today. Also attended a wake for a childhood neighbor (lingering effects from a stroke), but I got to see some of my old elementary school friends - after a few beers, all was good.
Time for another beer
Ciao
