I know Kentucky is better then usual... but they're still freakin' Kentucky. And they just beat the #1 team in the country.

So let's see. The Gators have now lost to a team that has lost to Mississippi State (Aurburn) and a team that has lost to Kentucky (LSU).

And now we get Kentucky next weekend. We couldn't possibly lose to them... could we??

Good evening, folks.

Congrats Sage and DS!

For those of you who don't wander into the PRT...I took a few 'autumn' photos today (and will likely take some more tomorrow), but if you're interested here's a very short slideshow of the few I ended up with today.
...just click on the photo to view...

Hi all - just call me party central (heh); headed over to my co-worker's house late last night for her b'day party & stayed wayyy over my bedtime. A pretty international bunch of people showed up there, but the hostess and most of the people there were Brazilian, and as I said before, Brazilians know how to party.

Got in way more dancing than I would've figured (fun, but it wasn't pretty I'm sure.) There was even one woman there who looked a lot like roo (sans red hair & with a Portuguese accent; BTW, I don't have a dog, but that husky/polar bear linkie was pretty cool)

Oh yeah, I got the Theia treatment - went beforehand to buy a bottle of wine to bring over to the party, and I got carded. Hey, I'll take it these days

Dang - the Sage family is fast! Congrats to both you and your DS!!

Maureen - I guess I like wimmens who wear glasses, and I liked your race pic.

Diane - glad to hear you had a good day for yourself and that you're back into the workout groove

That is one heckuva' thoughtful gift, Noni - kudos to the bride there.

Wow, Timr - a PR is always nice...but after a run like that? Major props to you. And awesome job to our Three Hotties Theia, Heather & Jill on their smokin' 5K efforts. And looks like some nice runs are being put out in general (Bob, Myron, Scratch, etc.)

Hey 2oh - if you can figure out the trick for getting enough sleep before race day, you should market it and sell it. Sorry your 10K didn't quite go to plan, but there will be others

Sorry to hear that Coach - maybe this will work for the best in terms of having the best Boston that you can.

Nice quad shot on the pic, Dom, and congrats on the weight loss

Hawki - I'm doing some quad work as well for that kind of issue and it seems to be helping (its something I feel a lot more on bike rides than runs, though.) If you have a stability ball, you can prop that behind you against a wall and do some squats; step-ups are another possibility.

Wow...amazing to think that three of the top four teams in college football after this week could be Cal, Boston College, and University of South Florida.

Later all...can't wait to hear how the rest of our racers this week did.

heather, theia, jill way to go! hot chicks unite! in the non dirty i don't want to be yo daddy way, k?

2oh: sorry you didn't sleep well {{{mrs. 2oh}}}
That's too bad you got so close to your PR and didn't beat it. {{{}}} to you.
Great PR. Timr!

Trevor: Injuries are no fun. Concentrate on Boston, because i know that's where you will shine. Go effort. Hope you still write a RR.

Sage: you are badass! holy shit. good job

Phast tom : Thanks for the elevation map. My prediction is coming along.

good work Scratch

Wow great score Noni

Maureen That's a great pic.

Glad there was a change in the wind Diane.

as for me: hockey hockey hockey! and i'm making pumpkin pie as we speak. as long as you are reading this right now.

Sounds like some good races going on this weekend - I'm on someone else's compooter so a quick post. Denver weather looks a little raw for tomorrow but I'm feeling good so 3:19:30 should be much easier than last week @ Twin Cities!

Later! Go Sox!

Hey, good luck Pacer. Hope the weather conditions are kind to you at 5,280 feet (1609 meters-eh).
Timr - cool accomplishment. Sounds like a great way to confirm a strong finishing kick.

Go sox.

I was poking around the Ironman Kona results and found Ramsey's DW's results.

She defended her AG again (posted a sub-10-hour time!) and just missed Top 20 overall by a lousy 5 seconds. Freakin' awesome - big time congratulations to you all!

Good Sunday Morning 30s!

I'm awake, just finished my cereal (care to guess what kind?) and in a few minutes, I'll be getting ready to head to my race.

Weather looks good.

I'm looking forward to it. I hope to have good news for you all later this afternoon.

Good luck, EQ.

Earlier this week, I slept in just my boxer briefs without any sheets or blankets. Last night, I had to throw two blankets on the bed and keep a tee shirt on. This cooler weather is nice, although I am missing the long daylight hours of summer.

Back from a run of around 30 minutes, finished up a week where cumulatively I ran a bit over marathon distance. Aim to do around 28.5 this coming week, then go into an easy week that has a 5K race on the weekend.

Chilly out there, but it's nice to run in.

Good morning! Congrats to Mrs. Soul. I was tracking her live last night but went to bed before she finished. My girl Natascha B didn't fare as well... she crashed, broke her collarbone, and apparently had to be forcibly removed from competition (she wanted to keep going). Hubby's friend had some trouble, too, but did finish. Hell, just getting there is unbelievable!!

In other Ironman news, I have decided I'm going to attempt a Half Ironman in 2009. (Oh good lord, what have I just said????)

Checked my results from yesterday's 5K. There were more than 5,000 women registered for the 5K run, 5K walks (one competitive, one not), and 5 mile run. My time was good enough for 76th out of 1,184 5K run finishers and 8/152 in my age group. I'll take it!

Sending good vibes to Laura, EQ, and Pacer today!!

Edited to add: I just noticed that a woman who finished 6 places behind me yesterday was named Michelle Winter. That's kinda funny, huh?
