On March 24, 1989, the nation's worst oil spill occurred as the supertanker Exxon Valdez ran aground on a reef in Alaska's Prince William Sound and began leaking 11 million gallons of crude.

it was a cold morning?!?

Uh... Dunno. Just feel like if I get a lot of laps done right away, then I just gotta mess around for a few and I'm done. Also I guess I feel like it helps me get ready for outdoors where, depending on which lake, the first lap is either a 1/4 or 1/2 mile swim.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................

Get to work, park my car, walk to the gym and find out that Faculty and Staff are not as important as the freakin' students. Therefore the gym is closed until 11am all week for spring break.

I guess I'll be swimming this afternoon after work.

Nice swims guys!

A complete rest day!! Still at in-laws (= lots of food around) and heading home this PM. We are taking one-week vacation at home - chill out, catch up with some stuff, visit some local museums, etc. Perfect way of spending taper wk #1. Yep, I decided to run Toledo marathon. Who is joining Charlotte and me there?

900 yds this morning... not a great swim, but it's better than nothing. Trying to have a positive attitude here.

Trainer then 2.5 mi brick....
When I brick, I have this out and back route that I do.
It's getting to where I can go farther OUT than I used to, and I'm still able to make it back in less time than I take going out. Boring...potentially. BUT, it's a great way to measure progress.

Yesterday I ate so much junk that I decided to go for a swim after things were quiet at home. Yes it is nice my gym is open 24 hours. I swam 2400 meters. I ran six miles this morning in the beautiful sunshine!

Looking forward to a (hopefully) solid swim this evening. Going to repeat Saturday's plan, as I bailed on that one due to riDONKulously warm pool water. I hate that.

Remember Peeps, don't drive and drive giant super tankers full of crude oil in delicate wildlife settings in the dark!
