Ack! Sorry I've been semi-AWOL (that pesky work-getting-in-the-way issue again/still).

Normally, we'd do a pledge thread at the beginning of the week before an IM so we could have an idea where we're good on miles and were we might need some extra help. But since it's already race weekend, let's just start posting completed miles right here and now.

For folks who joined the forum after IM season last year, here's the deal. In support of Team LIT members (and, yes, even you lurkers, if you're here, you're part of us) racing Ironman distance races, we all pledge our workout miles for that weekend with the goal being to cover as many miles as our IM racers will. It's our way of showing them that we'll be with them in spirit and sweat every stroke, pedal, and step of the way.

I'm going to need a little help with who all is racing... I think KC, Neimsco, Maggie... anyone else? Once we have a handle on the number of racers, we'll know how many miles we need.

In the meantime, go ahead and start posting your completed miles in this thread.

We also keep track of post workout adult beverages and preventative mechanicals, GI issues, bee stings, and what have you. (The preventative therory being that if we have to deal with it, our racers won't.)

Kick some IM arse, LIT racers!

Harder to spot than Charlotte's du (at least for us silly Americans), but me thinks slow n steady did a Half Ironman -- but with an extra long bike. Woot!

And Thor?!? You may get a new title of LemonHead out of this one. Way to turn it around!

So far go good! We've got Scott, KC, and the Muffin Queen out there. And we're within 1320 yards swimming of having them fully covered -- and I should be able to knock that off this afternoon. If we can scrounge up some more swim miles (swimmerbee??), we could also have Thor's IM that should'a been covered, too. Now that's be something to drink to!
