Well heck I decided i would start checking in again, will it last? I was mostly glad to read how everyone is doing but wish Yo was doing better! I have well done various trainings for SAR, work and more work. I went to Salt Lake for various annual things and saw Dr Eric Heiden (whom I remember as the USA speed skater back in the day). I also raced with his sister-bicycling also back in the day. Well he looked at my creaking knee and told me yes its wear its been wearing a long time and the pt is approaching it all wrong. He wanted me to...ride my bike more. IN between I was out for my first backpack of the season wiht my backpack buddy F. Her knee acted up badly jsut before the deepest of the off trail part so we opted out early. She now wants a bicycle as well so we're off to Lander WY to go bike shopping. I am also supposed to go to the sports performance lab in Park City to get my biomechanics evaluated and work wiht a coach (who happens to be in ALberta CA) to work on the same for xc ski. THis all feels like what i should have done in the 80's when I was a young competitior and now it feels a bit late. Nevertheless i'll pursue it. Today I worked wiht my personal trianer on my strnegth routine and got in a walk beofre pakcign up to go on this bike shop, boot shop trip. I am having boot issues too but I won't bore you all with it! Instead I'll try to pop back in when I'm back in town this weekend.
