Notey and Rainerun- do you prefer that we post our own points on the VRAAmootness site, or just list them in the daily scoring threads?

What's everyone on the team's training goals?

I'm in the tail end of my basebuilding phase right now, and will kick off my home-made 5k plan with a race on March 15th. The plan calls for 70+ mpw until after this round is over, and I don't skip days so you can count on at least 40 points per day from me.

(When do we have to submit a team name to get the 100 bonus points?)

Looks like we're off to a good start- let's not forget to do the weekend bonus point activities. I think it's alternative workouts this weekend.

Did 3 this morning before work. I'll post my total mileage to the mootness site and to the scoring thread once I do my run tonight.

Enjoy the skiing crb81

Yeah Alex. Some teams seem to have a member or two going a little above their committed levels. I'd bet it will level out a little bit after the initial rush from starting a new round. (I won't call anyone out on sandbagging because that was me last round)

Just logging my mileage for tonight, and I realized that as long as I run at least 8 tomorrow (which is less than I plan on going) I'll have my first ever 80 mile week for the first week of the VRAA. I'd love to be able to say that I'll keep that production up, but ti'll likely slip a bit from there.

I always hated writing those essays. Just a lot of BSing when I did it.

I'll put my hat in the ring for the spotlight things if Moon is still accepting people.

We're really dropping down in the standings, so I'm holding out hope that our fearless leaders are out there somewhere hoarding points for a huge jump.

crb81- Sorry, I've been a little down on my running lately since I didn't go nearly as fast as I was hoping for on my race Saturday.

I'll certainly be averaging around 50 points a day, and I'm planning on a 20 miler Friday if I can squeeze it in. Hopefully that'll bump us up a little.
I agree that we need to get going a little. It seems like a lot of people on our team do a bulk of their work on the weekends, so we bump up , then fall back alittle during the week.

We might be able to all score just a little extra every day to make a difference. How about if we all try to just adding 5 minutes of stretching before and after our workout. 10 peopleX2 pointsX7 days is 140 points for hardly any extra effort!

Take care of yourself first Rugby. Don't do anything that's going to hurt your recovery.

I hate that we're falling behind, but there's not much we can do when some teams are doing way above what they committed to. I know part of the idea of the VRAA is to push you a little beyond what you had planned on, but it's getting a little out of hand on some teams. I looked at the top team currently in the standings- G has 5 people scoring at Titanium level staus. 3 of those guys are signed up for mega, and 2 are signed up at super.

I hate to be a crybaby and I'm not meaning to call anyone out- but lets not feel bad about ourselves if we can't keep up as long as we're doing what we signed up for plus a little extra. (sorry for the rant, just a little frustrated and I will admit to overshooting my level a little in my first VRAA)

Well- normally I wouldn't have that kind of time, but we happened to get Good Friday off of work, so I figured what the heck.

I was a little worried that I'd be too sore from Friday's work to get much in Saturday, but I felt really good, and was able to log another 52 points.

Great work Rainerun. Wish I could say the same. Sorry, but I ran my 18 miler on some pretty mean hills Saturday and had to cut my Sunday run to just 3. I'll try to make up for it this week.

Did everyone remember their 5 bonus points for running this weekend?
