A slow 6 miles in the fog, with the air temp just above freezing, all on the road. Some of the surface was treacherous as all hell ........... it was raining, then snowing a little last night, which left a crust of ice on some of the lesser travelled sections. At least that forced me to slow it down a bit. I'm trying to keep up the low HR training until at least February, but it's frustrating to be holding it back this much (to just under a 10min/m pace on the flat). I keep want to be attacking the hills, when I'm supposed to be almost walking them.

Mike, that chest pain sounds scary. How are you feeling now? Hope there's someone home with you for the rest of the day, just in case.
A close friend of mine, who was just getting back into some semblance of shape after a knee replacement a year ago, was unloading her dishwasher just before Xmas when she started having a few chest pains and felt a little lightheaded. Her DH had the foresight to call 911 .... good thing too, cause she went into full arrest just as the paramedics walked in the front door. She's OK now, with a stent put in place, and is now home. But it scared the crap out of all of us.... she's 6 months younger than me!
