Well I'm training at 16:50 pace. I wouldn't call that smokin'. But I'm not even thinking about speed at this point. Just going the distance. But if I can speed my pace up by 25% for the race, that would be about 12+ minute miles. Prob a little ambitious, but my 5K/10K pace is about 20% or so faster than my training pace, so maybe not all that unrealistic. I ran the expected finish calculator against some of my recent races and it puts me on the high end at somewhere around 1:45/1:46. So I'd put finishing under that as my base goal. Anything more is pure gravy. I'm sure when I actually see the mountain my jaw will hit the floor.<br><br>
