9/7 Tuesday Fun Day

It's wedding day! Some last minute prep to do, but in good shape. I can't wait to see the kiddos all dressed up and see how they do in the ceremony. L is excited, but M is too young to understand. 
 
Oh, and Kath, the shower was on Saturday. My sister-in-law to be's sister lives in Florida and could only make one trip here, so we did everything at once.

I'm with Beaker and no motivation for being back at work. I got through my morning routine quickly so I could head to the office and be uber-productive...only to fall asleep at my desk. :shakes head: Anyhow, I'm fighting sleep in the worst way and I have two classes today for which I need to be alert and peppy, and neither of them are adequately prepared yet. I cannot wait for Thursday afternoon when I get to fly to New Mexico for a long weekend with my best friend. I wish I could just skip today and tomorrow and Thursday morning and just go, but I need to be a little more responsible than that. But just a little more responsible.

J and I had a great time in Vermont this past weekend. We just rolled with whatever happened and enjoyed a beautiful albeit very windy boat trip around Lake Champlain, lots of hiking near those parts, some beer tasting at Magic Hat and a visit to a gorgeous 1400 acre farm on the historic registry near Burlington. Wrapped it all up with a day in CT yesterday, with J's bro and his family - more hiking around Lake Mohegan and BBQing in the backyard. Awwww, good times.

I went in Monday and basically handed in the resignation to my boss. He was like "You have got to be kidding me!" We spoke about why I wanted to leave and he understood although he said he didn't want to see me leave. He's a cool guys. It's the one above him who really pushed me out with his controlling no flexibility management style. He didn't take it as well, lol.

Thanks for the vibes everyone! Mom ought to be rolling into surgery right about now.
 
So far I've had a productive day. <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif" title=""> Walked Gus 3 miles, had breakfast, called the vet, went to the PO, bank, yarn shop, stopped in at my doc's to schedule an appmt @ my stupid hips. Can't get in till October but got on the cancel list. Also - got my hair cut, stopped at the grocery store, fabric store, pet supplies, and the library. Got a message from the vet when I got home and called them back and it looks like i"ll have to run out again today, darnit. And make a couple more phone calls.

HA! We regularly have to clarify who we're talking about. (This is Dh's younger brother's kid.) Actually, nephew's name is John Patrick (which is my brother's name), but they're calling him Jack. I am frequently confused until the middle of the conversation w/r/t who is being talked about.

There is a pond in my neighborhood, but these were taken at my aunt and uncle's pond about 45 minutes away. We had a big family reunion this weekend there and it was awesome.

It feels like forever since I've been able to get on the board. Life had really taken over last week and honestly, I was not a very a nice person to be around. However, I did wind up getting a job last week! I'm working in a Kindergarten - 2nd grade autism classroom. School just started today, but I really like it.

Wow, what a thread today. Lots of highs and lows. Hugs to all who want them and smiles for everybody else! 
Mila and I made it to Detroit in fine form. 
Kath, lunch tomorrow? Ann Arbor or...? PM me in the a.m. or look for one from me. We are headed to kazoo, but not in a hurry. Next Monday is good for me but not Mila due to travel arrangements. 
Moonie and Bard, take good care of Oregon for me until I get back!
