Last half-day with the kids; off Thurs and Fri for NJ Teacher's Convention weekend. I'm not going -- been there, done that. I usually hop on a plane to a tropical location to hang with my family for a long weekend. Not doing that either.<br><br>
I have a marathon to run next weekend, and I don't want to mess up my training and focus now (there are so many reasons why going WOULD mess up the training).<br><br>

<b>Beth</b> - I'm really not sure how we get away with it. The convention is in Atlantic City every year. Some districts REQUIRE you to attend at least one workshop (you get a certificate of attendance from each one you attend), while others, like mine, don't really even mention it... <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/dontknow.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="dontknow"> Every school that I'm aware of has off for those two days, but I don't think it's a state requirement. I've gone to the convention a couple times, attended a couple workshops. They're valuable, but, quite frankly, I prefer to fly to a tropical beach for those 4 days instead of driving to AC <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"> Sadly, I'll only be driving to my beach -- where I spend my summers...
