Pretty easy to start the thread when you're 5 hours ahead!

Got another 4 miles in this morning. It was cold and windy! About 40*F I reckon. Interesting running here. Just different surroundings.

Barely been able to keep up with the threads Theia, hope things are getting better.

Getting ready to head to the airport to got to La Rochelle, France. Should be an interesting trip.

Must head out. Take care all!

Frankie Sorry to hear about you FIL's woes {{{}}} for him.

Maureen: It's really too bad that you can't get paid doing what you love to do. Did you ever think of a theatrical career switch? It could work, no?

QOD: If you could change one event in time, either for yourself or others, what would it be?

and if you don't like that one
How about

QOD: Fries or Mashed Potatoes with that?

QOD part 1: I wouldn't have let my grandfather go icefishing that day. He drowned when my mother was 5. (there are so many answers I could give to that question, but that's a little less selfish one plus I can't face some of the other answers.)

QOD part 2: mashed. Always.

Good Morning
{{Frankie's FIL}}

QOD #1 I would have bought lake front property when I first moved to TC.

QOD #2 Fries

Maureen you are amazing. Great costumes.

I have been running for 7 weeks now.....a weight loss do you suppose? No, of course not, a weight gain. The scale is on its way to the garbage can.

Hey all:

4 easy last night. Pretty sore in the calves and the quads from the race. Probably more sore today than I was yesterday, but the legs seemed happy to get out for some easy miles. I think I'm going to enjoy a down week or two, then make some plans for the rest of the fall.

Any of you New York peeps ever run the Leaf Peeper HM in Cortland? I was looking for something before Philly and saw that last night. It's got a cool name if nothing else.

Frankie - thinking about your FIL

Voo - hope you are enjoying your trip

Solar - it's got to be a tossup. KR / 12 year olds. We have a lot in common.

Beaker - sorry you had to see that in person. At least I could go to sleep in the 3rd quarter.

What's up 30s?

We went to Benihana's on Friday for dh's birthday with a group of friends. Can I just say that I forgot how tasty the food is there? Yum. I'm sure it has something to do with the loads of garlic butter they put on EVERYTHING. Hmmm. I am officially rejoining Weight Watchers today.

Add me to the group of higher mileage equaling a weight gain!! WTF?

Anywho, the cooler temps have been good to me this last week. I've been much more comfortable on my runs and a touch speedier.

Good thoughts and prayers out to all those that need them. I love reading all of the race reports, they are getting me geeked up!

Good Tuesday everyone.

QOD I'm with Scratch on this one. Me luvs some taters. I'll eat potatoes most ways you prepare them. But I favor fries over mashed taters- slightly.

Startingover respect Winter's advice! I have been going through c25k and am now on ohr and have not lost an ounce. I was perplexed by that lack of weight loss. Yet I have started to get two or three compliments that I have lost weight..... that thew me for a loop. Then I discovered that I lost about an inch around the waist and my upper body is more firm. I think I have lost some weight there and my legs are looking better than they ever have- so I am thinking there is more muscle weight there (to offset the loss in my upper body).

Moral of the story- listen to Winter. heheh

QOD pt. A - Way too deep for my feeble mind at this point...

QOD pt. B - Fried, which is unfortunate for my butt n' thighs However goat cheese and chives added to mashed potatoes makes for a tasty dish!!!

StartingOver - Don't worry about the scale, I can run 15 miles/week or 70 miles/week and that number will.not.change. I go by energy levels and how my clothing fits. Keep up the great work!!!

P-Tom - that part of NY is a bit too far from me to know anything ...T-Rev might know more. If you're looking for a tune-up to Philly, the Staten Island HM is that same weekend. Nice race and not as crowded as those based in Manhattan.

How do your clothes fit? How do you feel (before you knew the #s)?

Do not know anything about that one, but I know that there is a HM in Ridgefield CT on 10/7 that was my goal race before my back derailed my running, and there is Hartford on the following weekend, and CoachT has been looking for someone to play with there (I have other stuff going on).

When did Drew Bledsoe sign with the Lions???

My clothes are looser. My jeans look like something my 14 year old wears. He really likes the saggy/baggy look. I have way more energy than what I did 7 weeks ago. Both are positive things. I need not to focus on the number of the scale. I also need to tell my Dr not to focus on the number at my next appointment.

Drew Bledsoe didn't sign with the Lions. They have someone worse....John Kitna. I tell my hubby the Lions receivers need to wear Xmas lights on their jerseys late in the game so Kitna knows who to throw to. The poor man likes the Lions.....provides endless entertainment for me.

hard to swim when you leave your bag with swimsuit, cap, goggles, etc at home.
