this is what I love about jewish holidays - they actually remember and commerate the REAL reason for the celebration or remembrance. Christian holidays seemed to be diluted with visions of Santa and Easter bunny. And yeah, I'm a Christian(husband is Jewish) - I just don't like how watered down and commercialized it's become.

Just one month away less two days now

dude I convert like 4 or 5 times a week. Count me in! I've got my religious festivals well-coordinated

On my dirve to work I see one house with a full sized cross with a large purple sash in the yard.

Two houses down is a giant inflatable bunny with eggs strewn all over the yard.

Hmmm....

ditto - I love the music when we attend synagogue. absolutely love it. And I love listening to my husband when he speaks in hebrew.

Yay! Purim is such a fun holiday. I'm flying home tomorrow and we're going to our town's big Purim festival tomorrow night. I can't wait to eat Hamentaschen. But no drinking for me this year.

And I love matzoh, too. But believe me, when you have to eat it for 8 days straight, without a lot of the fiber sources your body is used to, let's just say the result is an unhappy digestive system.

I celebrated without the little cookies.
