Thanks for the advice ... since I live within 10 miles of the trail head and they run a race (on the 12th of April) that uses part of the race course ... I will have a few opportunities to run part or all of the loop before the race in August ..... I know what is needed for 26.2 .... now I just have to figure out what extra will be needed to push past that distance.

As for my run tonight ... scrapped it ... looking for a early morning run tomorrow ... and a second run in the evening.

Enjoy and thanks again !!

Great night - In my new spirit of "There's more to life than running" I played 2.5 hours of volleyball with a decently competetive group. 6's, 4's and 3s bunches of games. I really miss when I used to play a lot. I do need to strengthen my quads and hams a little in a deep knee bend type of way.

Oh yah, warmup was 4 easy miles on the treadmill -

Good running to all -

PS - I feel another recovery day coming tomorrow - I'm gonna be sore!

I'm really late tonight getting caught up with all of you. It has been a busy day!

I got a run in this evening in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. I had originally planned on almost 10 but cut it back to 7.5 miles. I held my marathon goal pace of right around 9:00 m/m. I forgot how hilly it can be around Atlanta and I also discovered a road that didn't have a sidewalk to get me back to the hotel. Is that is what is called exploring?

My run started out with my legs protesting. I think it was because there was a gradual uphill and not being able to run consistently with poor timing on stop lights. Once I got out of the Peachtree Rd area things went much better.

I hope you all enjoyed your day and for those that start early Have a wonderful day tomorrow!!
