Yeah, my legs were fine after a day or so. Key West and a long travel home got me a little under the weather though. Might be from the marathon as well.

Whoa ... read this!

http://www.startribune.com/local/140...tml?page=1&c=y

Somehow I can see that.

<biting lip>

Got 4 whole miles on the schedule today. I gotta get some weights in. Had a good weight workout Monday. Need to follow that up. I was throwing up the big-boy dumbells, the 90-pounders, on the bench. They only go up to 100 pounds in the gym, though I hear they're ordering some heavier ones. There are some monsters in that gym.

This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home. This little piggy went trail running in Minnesota in the dead of winter, and these little piggys got chopped off because the owner of aforementioned piggys is a bleepin' moron for running through snow with running shoes and 2 pairs of socks and NOT STOPPING!!

Morning. No running for me yesterday. I stepped outside felt the wind and decided to stay in for the night. This will be my lowest mileage month in a long time. Just feel like not running much at all. I did do 8.5 the other day in a below zero snowstorm. Wasn't fun and my feet didn't like running on the snow so much. I will try to get out for some distance tonight.

Going to see "Spirit of the Marathon" tomorrow night. Hoping that will bring my will to run back.

Decided no marathons this spring for me and probably not any in the fall. Maybe a couple half's at most. We'll just have to see what happens.

Voodoo - Forgot to mention. If you have a chance to get a couple runs on a treadmill or indoor track before the race, go for it. I really think that going from freezing cold to a warm, humid race really hurt me.

Fort hose of you who STILL think Delaware is flat, check out Theia's rockin' bod. It is in part because of her boot camp sessions that climb up and down some formidable HILLS in Delaware. Don't joke about DE being flat until you are ready to go up against Theia in one of her boot camp classes. Seriously. I've seen their route.

smart ass.

Not quite as bad as the guy who did a loop around his house in the buff in icy temperatures and needed to have similar stuff done on him, but still pretty moronic.

Hey everybody. Still sick. Supposed to do hills today but since this thing is in my lungs I will resist.

I can't believe you are still talking junk about the hills in DE, Scratch, I was witness to you saying (in the flesh) that there was a large hill on that 5k course you did a few weeks ago. Shame on you, getting the Greek Goddess all upset again!

What a motivational speaker! It worked. On Sat, I felt like crud, but said something similar and the aches I was feeling the first couple miles seemed to go away when things got warmed up and I ended up with a nice 2.5 hour run after a 1 hr bike ride.

Well, you continue to motivate me. I have started trying to do chin ups on my easy run days since I run right by a chin-up bar. I have gone from being able to do 2 half-ways to being up to 3 that are within a few inches of being full chin ups. I think I am pretty good about not "cheating" by swinging my legs. I have also started doing a few (very few) core exercises (from the previously discussed RW issue). Trying to get them at least 3 times a week.

I love it!

happy Maria = hot sleeper ?

OK, I know it is not Friday, but I'm glad someone took advantage of a great opening line.

Well, Nice swim this morning. Pool was cooler than it has been so far this year, but not cold. I got a nice 2100y in with mostly 100-200 sets. It feels strange to swim in the 25y pool and see my times, since I am used to my times for the 25m pool, I feel like I am flying.

DS#2 will be undertaking W2D1 of C25k this evening which will be my warm up to be followed by about 3.5 at a brisk Tempo pace. We are thinking about making Lost Dutchman a family event with 3 of us running the 2 miler and DW walking it. If I run it, it will be with DS#2 as that will be his first race and I want to share it with him, just like I did with DS#1 a few years ago in our first races together.

Well, duty calls. I'll try and pop in here a bit later, but don't hold your breath. (count me in for wanting the life of leisure so I can run 2 a days without worrying about work getting in the way)

Dude. You asked for a swift kick in the rear. You'll get a real one if you don't stop talking smack about my state!!! That goes double for Scratch, who lost all credibility when he said, and I quote, "Mile 2 was all uphill!" after a 5K in, you guessed it, Delaware.

I got nuthing to report yet on the fitness front as it isnt lunch yet, but youze guys and gals are hilarious.

Oh and I didnt see any hills when I was back in PA/NJ, did I miss them?
