G'morning all - didn't get to post yesterday; after all the laptop debate I settled on a mid-lower-range Windows-based PC. Does all the basics, plain-looking enough to not attract too much attention, and wouldn't be something I'd super-agonize over if it were stolen/lost (as opposed to a MacBook.) I'll probably go for more of the bells & whistles when I either replace or rebuild my 10-yr-old desktop.

Happy belated birthdayeenie Katholeenie!!!!

Gad, what an ordeal in getting back, but glad you're back home and safe MaryMcT!!

Morning Gang.

HH - you know something positive is gonna come out of the resume thing you mentioned yesterday. Good thoughts on their way.

Beaker - all I could think about reading your piss bucket story was Mel Brooks' History of the World Part I

All the fun I got right now.

Moon - not really. As a matter of fact this morning I was walking out the door of the station to go home the chief caught me and said that the past week had not been the norm. He said to expect more calls like the one this morning - sort of a false alarm and less like the ones this past weekend. Tonight I get to go give a tour of the station to some Boy Scouts. Rookie task.

I'm posting my Good Morning and hello before the thread gets huge. Then I'll go back and read what's already here. I'm bugged because I must have slept weird and my right shoulder/delt is killing me. I have a Tempurpedic bed, this isn't supposed to happen.

Ummm....yes probably, Brandy. But still the asthma thing. The picture you sent is cute, though. LMAO at Beaker's story! Oh!!! Maria...I just heard on NPR that Omar from The Wire is going to be on FreshAir today. Not sure of their program time out east, but they podcast and post online...

I'm cold.

Time to put on the ugly purple cardigan. It's my office sweater, and its sole reason for being is for those days when my office isn't nice and toasty warm.

I have one of those, too. Mine, however, is a lovely beige, is too big and needs to be washed. I bought it on our honeymoon and cannot bring myself to get rid of it so I use is as my office sweater. Of course, today I have on 2 pair of socks, a thermal silk under my sweater and have been wearing wrist warmers all day. And, yes, I'm inside my office!

Done!

14: If you listen to your iPod, keep it low enough so you can hear what’s going on around you. Or expect more heavy and sharp things to be tossed in your direction. Of course, it’s runners doing the throwing, and they’re generally weak and pasty … so don’t worry too much.
