Back from skiing. The weather was perfect. I was so good to the point that I was able to keep up with my sweetheart as he was ripping the trails ahead of me. 5 miles of it today. I may get another day of it tomorrow.

Choovie -- skootch of shame? Wow, I never would've thought of it that way....

But yes, to answer your question, it's a forward movement to transition to chaturanga dandasana, elbows in line with the torso. One thing I'd comment about her form though, is that her shoulders could've been even more lifted. I mean the shoulder heads. In Anusara (the style I'm studying) we talk of lengthening the side body, so much so that the shoulders come up to ears (shrug of shame?), and then with that length the shoulder heads can lift away from the floor more. Don't know if I confused you (and Pie Jones) even more, but hopefully I answered your question.

Oh, and that picture you posted, while her forearms aren't perpendicular to the floor, you can see her shoulderheads are nice and lifted, though she could use a touch more tuck of the tailbone.

I haven't looked any at responses after your original post

Right now we have the Divisional playoff, Championship Series, and World Series. The Div playoff was started when they introduced the wild card when the div were restructured. what year was that, 1998...my guess...no wait...the champ series was the with the wild card...so my new guess is 1967

Hi all,

Late post again today but I got the run in...

7 miles of hills @ 8:50 pace. I enjoyed an absolutely beautiful blue/orange sunset...one of the advantages of running late afternoon/nights.

I was just watching parts of Blazing Saddles tonight...very funny movie.
Good running everyone.

Mari, very pretty ski picture; looks like fun.
(((Tammy's shoulder)))
I haven’t run since Tuesday evening, with some calf pain. Did the elliptical on Wednesday for 40 minutes. The elliptical caused no problem; in fact it seemed to make my calf feel better. Tonight I’m getting on it again while we watch tv. Tomorrow MrF and I are going to run in the morning, promise myself. Getting concerned about building up the miles, especially long runs, by Boston. I don’t want to be a weenie about the calf but I don’t want to be stoopid like I was with the ITB, either. We have been spending a lot of time with the new family. Here’s the 5 day old.

....FF//.....What a DOLL.....Congratulations......

FF, precious. ((( your calf ))) I've had a few lower calf strains... seems to take about a week after the walking-around pain goes away before I can start running slowly, then another week or two after that to get back to full speed. Plenty of time till Boston... I strained a calf 7 weeks before a goal marathon a few years ago and still did fine.

Sous, if I listened to Green Day when I ought to know better, that would make me an American Idiot. But what about the Canuck counterpart?

millbot, how's the AT?

Good news, tomwhite, and take care of the ouchie, Tammy.

MS, message to the jerks: BAM!

Lawzamercy, I'm sore from those 80 pushups the other day. Good thing I got that out of the way before next week.

Short warmup on the elliptical, then about 3 EZ miles on trails.

Mill!! Thank you - I had a wobble board on my shopping list for tomorrow as well as a couple of foam rollers and an ab roller wheel. I printed out your exercises and now I am all set to go.

Last night I did 3 sets of 12 standard push ups (hands right under shoulders), alternating with 3 sets of 12 push ups with the ab wheel and 3 sets of 12 on the Bosu ball. Let's see; that's 36 + 36 + 36 = I08 push ups. Yeah, I ain't scared of no boys.

Hey Mikey.
five was just five because it really sucked.
But it was five and I am trying to HTFU.

Aija

ETA to add props for the beautiful shots of FF's grand baby and Mari looking gorgeous on skis.

Darn good guess, Mike (the first one). You win by default because nobody else played. It's 1995 when the Wild Card spot was introduced.

Switching sports, DS scored a goal tonight! Unfortunately the Cosmos needed some more of those, but it was a good game.

No run today for me. "Resting" for my long run tomorrow (all 4 miles of it!). I did a bunch of stability ball exercises for something different.

I've got a feeling that Orange Mat is a GREAT yoga instructor!

Aija, wtg on all the push ups. It's nice to actually have some competition...

hey all!

Whew glad this workweeks overs, I've worked way too many hours between last Sunday & today, but the tax provision's done, so back to normal.. yay!! Unfortunately, I've been so whooped by the time I got home everyday, I just relaxed instead of doing any form of exercise.

So tomorrow I'm planning quality time with kids & some treadmill time

Tammy - sorry about your rotator cuff - here's hoping you heal up quickly!!

Thanks for asking. I have no pain, but still enough stiffness that I am not doing calf stretches or balance board exercises.

Unfortunately, I think I have peroneal tendinitis in my other ankle. I'm probably looking at more time off.

Trying to be smart and patient.

Nice picture, FF.
