Agreed. Plus, for Payton's first 3 seasons, the NFL was still at a 14 game schedule. Overall, WP played in 7 fewer games than LT by the time their 7th season was wrapped up. Probably due to an injury or two. Those 7 games could easily make up 700 - 900 yards of the total yardage difference.<br><br>
I cannot argue with the fact that LT has talent. However, a good O-line makes all the difference in the WORLD. Just ask washout-boy Sean Alexander. We lose Steve Hutchinson to the Minnesota Vikings, and suddenly our O-line isn't nearly as strong. Alexander is now an afterthought, while Adrian Peterson <b><i>averaged</i></b> 5.6 yds per carry!
