Hi there,

Welcome to Kickrunners.com and here is the Starting Gate - Your first port of call as you start to embrace and enjoy running and the community here.

On this site we have a Starting Plan to get you from Start to Finish, building you from Starting off, to completing a 5K in just two months - It's very similar to the C25K Plan, written back in the nineties, which you may have heard off elsewhere, just updated for today following feedback over the years from successful graduates of the programme.

We also have programmes to take you beyond the 5K goal, and will soon have more programmes available here for you to enjoy. I'm available to help anyone and everyone, either in the Forum, or if you prefer to PM me I will get back to you as soon as I can.

This Thread should be a good place for you to Introduce yourself to the Kick! Running Community, and to get you started, I'll let you know something about me. I'm 49, live in Dublin, Ireland, and have been running since school days. I have 22 marathons to my name, and lots of other races at all sorts of distances. I have been coaching and putting something back into the running world since the early 90's, and have devised the Up to 5K plans here at Kickrunners.

I am a regular visitor Stateside, having run many races in the US and Canada, and made many friends through running, maybe you will meet me at the next Big Kickrunners meet (Philadelphia in Nov 07 is looking like a wild party!). So, that's a little about me, lets hear from you - And Welcome to the Home of Community Running.
