Very nice, Scratch!

A 6-foot one?! Wow! I see deer all the time when I run. I've come within 6 feet of them before rounding bends. Scared the shite outta me!

Sure sounds like a good way to get a long run in. Nice!

To hear about stuff like that Ryan Shay dude really makes me nervous, well a least a little.

Anyway, I absolutely ripped off 16 miles today in 2:18:07 (8:37/mile). I was feeling good but really didn't push the pace until the last 3 miles. I think mile 14 was an 8:18 mile, though the next two were around 8:40. I was running at a nice conversational pace. I'm pretty stoked about that run considering I weighed exactly 210 pounds this morning. I cannot jettison any tonnage. I don't feel heavier, but it's there.

But my legs felt quite good. They got tired toward the end, but I was pushing it up hills and stuff. And I still had some miles in the tank.
