I am not saying people who disagree with me are trying to control what I post. But people who tell me I should leave for expressing the opinions I expressed here are trying to control content. Same with the various personal attacks that have been made.

I welcome opposing opinions.

The PRT description says to talk about whatever you'd like. We've got more members now than when you first joined.. I think we had about 50 members at the time. we now have over 800. I'm sure any topic posted now - if it is of interest to those on the board at that time - will respond to it. Considering we now have more members on line at any given time than we had in TOTAL members 8 months ago.. Odds are a tad better.... perhaps not as good as forums with many more members, but I guess I'm sayin' - "If at first you don't succeed - try try again"...

I'd love to see topics on Religion, Politics, the War, the upcoming election, death penalty, abortion.. I really would.. those topics really make me think and I'd probably get involved with those quicker than some of the other topics....

Anyway.... this is a great thread and I'll be nominating it to the Shoebox as soon as it reaches its completion!

I no longer have faith in you after the flaming sword incident (or lack of an incident).

Why do you heat me? Or is it just my shorts?

I actually got a lot out of this discussion.

If you're cold I can heat you...but I meant <heart>

I like orange. Our office is orange. My hubby's bike is orange.

Orange makes you fast.

All the kenyans who win marathons wear orange shoes. Didn't you know?

Guys, guys, gals,

Read the title. "I feel... blah blah blah". Stay with me on this one, let's leave off everything but the "I feel".

You can't argue with feelings. That's what Tim Feels. I was just as guilty of trying to appeal to logic or reason. We're dealing with emotion here. Tim feels that way.

Suitable answers: "Oh, gee, I'm sorry to hear that because I feel..." "Really, that's interesting, because I have felt the same too..." "I don't feel that, I've felt..."

Unsuitable answer: "Tim, you ignorant slut" "Yabbut, YOU..."

At any rate, I'm still trying to digest HT's deep respons from a few pages ago.

I'm one of the ones who avoids controversial topics, partly because I do feel strongly about them and because I'm a modulator I don't want to be seen as carrying a stick into the argument.

I'll gladly participate if and when one of those threads appear.

In the meantime based upon many of the responses I got here I'll stick with giving out congratulations to people who have achieved a goal, complimenting people on their clothing, sharing what I had for breakfast, etc. I'll see how that goes. Maybe we can and will live happily ever after?

That answer is partly joking but it is based upon what I see as the overall consensus.

ACK! I've been searching for that thread but I can't find it. It's not that old.

true. And then you read a thread like this that a few people infer "if you don't like it there's the door". I definitely believe that any serious topic is lopsided by opinion of the poster rather than opinion of thought. Like you, it will soon be to hard for me to keep up, I fear.
