Funny thing is the last thing I baked was from-a-mix brownies to take to a cookout this weekend. I had no time when I got home to even think about making them from scratch (as it was I was pushing it to get the baked in time, and did them in the conv oven even though they dry out a bit), but when I got to the party, everyone said, oh! you brought brownies! Can I have the recipe? Um...yes, let's see...go the baking aisle, pick up the Duncan Hines box...

I so rarely make the boxed ones I called my sister and said, is the batter supposed to be so wet? And she responded, you made brownies from a mix????

I get a chance to post, I am so happy.

I hope all is well with everyone.

Work is kicking my arse these last two weeks...I so badly need to run tonight when it cools off...my mind is a jumbled mess.

general happy vibes bein sent out to everyone here!

do you know it's only 2pm ET? Liam, you lucky man, it's supper time for you. What're you making?

Um..that would be me with the new Red pearl (not to get confused with DH's black pearl).
I got my anniversary present early today (1st one is a week from Friday)....a week in Paris in November- yippee! I'm tagging along as usual while he is at a conference- however he couldn't use his FF miles this time so the flight is my gift. He's angling for a Carrera (Either the Porche kind or a Tag Heuer watch kind)- not sure that's gonna happen.
BTW, we found our corporate housing I think- has a nice jr olympic pool. It's costing an arm and a leg but at least his co will foot the bill for 2 months and we'll hopefully find a better house than we were supposed to buy. Oh and Maria, I have my own version of Moira-which happens when I drink Gin- not pretty.

Yay! We're back on the air. At least for now.

Thinking about you, Lolly.

Welcome back to running KJ! Yay!

Congrats on your Boston entry T-Rev. Thanks for the "front o' the pack" endorsement, but I don't think I'm there yet.

Looks like you're having a great vacay, Heather. Avery is a real cutie! She looks just like Mommy.

Sorry about the pie situation, Cactus, I should have warned you about that. The Cookie Cabin right down the street has good cookies and much better service.

I know there was more...sorry to whomever I'm missing.

10.25M running this morning. My legs feel almost recovered from the race.

Thanks for all the positive feedback on my race, folks! Might repost my RR over in the Finish Line forum.

Great shot of our hiking excursion over the weekend

That is me crawling down the path. So much fun! Maria sent me a link that there is a marathon there at Acadia. crazy mofos.

dang it I can't get the picture to upload. you'll just have to imagine that the picture rocks until I can figure it out

Lordy Sage is right- good job! I'm trying to ramp up again very slowly which sucks- I have no patience. I just cancelled my hotel room for Chicago and it was a struggle to do that- as if I'll be ready to run a marathon in october!

Woooo hooo Sage, great job marathon woman!!!

Oh yes and a few things about Moira:
- she and Maria are never seen together
- you ain't never seen a beeyotch like her ...she's especially p-o'ed at anything J might do/say
- the combination of events that most often brings her out is a lack of food + a mixing of adult-type beverages (like going from gigantar margaritas to yards of beers to stoli-O and soda).
- she likes sleeping fully clothed and shoed/footed (?) while diagonal across the bed
