Ahh... I'm so glad we're back up and running. Really, really glad!

I'll have to review Monday's entries later.. no time atm.

This coming saturday is my first "try and see what happens" date, after the forced rest period. One mile. One measely little mile - walking it at that! Cross your fingers that things go well. I just sent my ortho anfax to figure out what direction we're going in next. Of course, Saturday's results may have a substantial impact on that plan.

Hope all you cats are doing well out there.

Totally un-related to running, but amusing: It seems that Radioyada and I have an illegal immigrant living in our house now. In the form of a little grey LEEZARD! Yep. Leezard!. I haven't seen the critter, though I'd like to. I've no idea how the moosfeathers he got in the house to begin with, but I'm hoping when he realizes that the lack of food is a problem, that he'll venture back out in the same manner that he came in. (or that we can somehow corner him into a box and force immiment domain on his ass, for his own safety.

Otherwise, I'm a little bit afraid that one of our dogs will find the lizard to be a conveneint play toy and/or a tasty snack. One of our pooches already figured out that the critter was hiding under the entertainment center somewhere this morning...

So, in the words of the famous Taco Bell Chihuahua, "Here Leezard, Leezard, Leezard..."

Winter - I am confused too

I didn't run much over vacation - only 2x and I got my butt handed to me properly on both runs.

Maria - that sucks about the cabs. From what I read, it isn't all of them that are striking. Ridiculous that they are striking in my book. Boston I think requires this at least all the cabs we were in had them and they helped a lot.

I feel like I have been away forever.
Winter great haircut!
Lets see....finished week 4, started week 5 of the running program. 8 deer scared the heck out of me last night. I didn't see them on the side of the trail and apparently they didn't hear me coming. A chorus of loud snorts from the deer and they were gone.
Saturday my Dad went in the hospital, bleeding from an area that shouldn't bleed. My nurse sister was sure it was a complication from his medicine, my mother was certain he had a disease that so far had gone undetected. He isn't in the best of health when he is having a good day. So I spent most of Saturday on the phone trying to figure out what was wrong with him. He is fine now, went home on Sunday. It is a complication from a couple of the medicines he takes.
Sunday I spent the day making cookies. I always give the kids cookies to take to lunch, even though only one of them takes lunch. We also had a stray yellow lab wander into our yard. I put up posters in the local stores (2) and my oldest went door to door for about 3 miles to find the owners. We never did find the owner, somehow they found us, and picked up the dog before the kids got home from school yesterday.
Ok that was a totally self centered post. If I can find the other threads I will go back and read them.

You are shameless. Funny, but shameless.

And you're welcome.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the cabs in NYC ...the majority of them aren't striking and I don't take cabs here that often. However, in Philly it sounds like most of them are striking and that limos are sometimes showing up to take former cab patrons. Maria won't be taking that kind of chance after getting up at 4:45 a.m. on a work morning. Maria is not a morning person willing to gamble. Maria turns into Moira easily in non-coffee early a.m. confrontations.

Popping in to say hi and welcome back to everyone - Nice to see familiar names, even if I haven't got a clue what you are talking about.

Having said that I did run 5 miles today (am I allowed to say that here?)...

Especially nice to see Michelle's pic (and tongue), and know the family is back together
