Howdy FO! Did not run today and am not running tomorrow. However, I feel as if I could if I wanted to. I think I'll try a short run Thurs evening and if that goes well another short run Fri morning. Then make plans from that point.

You and Ribs are about to start your trip North. Do you and have bib #'s we can track?

ksrunr, I'm 1867 and my name is Rolf Koford (I think only the Heroes get to use a nom de plume; see Ribs' message below). On resuming running: I enjoy MarathonTalk podcasts, and a recent one (Episode 37) gave some advice to injured runners, one peice of which was to "Be gentle with your comeback." Their suggestion was, when you feel completely ready to resume running, wait one more day. For what it's worth...

edited to add name

KS and anyone else interested, if you go to MTCMARATHON.ORG and scroll down to Twin Cities in Motion News, you will see Athlete Tracking. Click on the link and it's self-explanatory. My bib number is 223 and of course my name is Spareribs LaMothe.

5.5 yesterday at MP, and 4.5 today, first 3.5 at MP and 1 slow. Flex and core workout yesterday, my last one of those, and a flex workout today. Tomorrow is 2.2 brisk, flex and get on the plane! Spareribs

I'm excited for the TCMers, especially the poster boy, Ribs Medtronics. Wish I could be there, but I've sent an agent.

Excited for your marathon too, Ilene, tuffgirl.

How's the ROM in that ankle, ksrunr? That's what you want to work on, IMO, like balance and wobble board stuff, gastroc stretches.

Go Simon!

Gorgeous day here. I finished up my w/o along the waterfront, with the coolness coming off the ocean and the sun shining. Heaven.

Yoga and 8.7 miles incl some 5k effort speedwork. Feeling great. Asics Sky Speed are da bomb!

Thanks SS you adorable babe.

2.3 final miles this morning and I disobeyed conventional wisdom by NOT running it fast. Very slow, as I was worried I would trip and fall in the dark. All packed up and headed for the airport in a few minutes. Bringing my laptop so I'll keep you informed. Spareribs

Swift races to Bill, Rolf, and Ribs. I'm tracking all 3.

Fred, where are you?

2 mile walk this morning ending with 200 yard "jog". Not ready for prime time yet but will be ready for my race. Plan on riding 15-20 miles tonight. May ride Fri and Saturday but still no running until Monday next week. Swelling mostly gone. Toes still blue. Knot at base of ankle
