You have to watch this and be impressed with these ladies.

Great clip Roly. That could be me if I could make the distance. At the moment, my achilles tendon kills when I touch it. Classic tendonitis. Even a week off running didn't make a dent even with icing every day. Injuries suck. It's becoming more apparent that my running a race this year is fading fast.

Welcome to my nightmear Merc. I am seriously considering the SI surgery and a hip replacement, nothing else seems to help. I was able to run 4 miles this morning but it will cost me some discomfort for the next few days. $%##@$%?

Gro what happend this week-end did you run??

Anyone race? ...Train? ...Hurt? ...Overeat (DR)? ...Stay up all night with a crying baby? ...Drink too much? I was sober all week-end!!!

All the above, except the sobriety.

Back in the office :-(.

I almost managed to run everything that I had planned while on vacation. I only missed a couple runs because of 8-hour drives between here and Cape Cod.

Roly, Merc, I hope you make the right decisions about the interventions. They are both tough decisions.

TB, I'm getting tired of saying congrats. You are on a roll, my man.

Is it just me? I'm color blind, especially with blue-grey and I have a hard time seeing anything on this newly formatted Kickrunners site. Is there a way to change the back colors or whatever on here. Help me out here tekkies!

I ran last night for the first time in about 10 days. An easy 5 miler on the grass at about 8 min./mile. At the end of it all, I had a sore piriformis (that I struggled with for 2 years before it went away!) and the burning foot, otherwise OK. This morning my butt cheeks are really stiff & sore- don't say it Roly!

Thought I saw Gro running along Westmount Ave. yesterday as I drove along. Whoever it was sure looked good!

I took a quick look and nope, I got nothing about changing the colour scheme.

If Roly doesn't say it, then I will: "Go easy on the butt cheeks, Merc!"

I was up early this morning for a 20K jog, but felt so terrible (at what should be a comfortable pace) I had to cut it short at 16K. I've got a mild case of fatigue. I guess it's time to eat my greens and ween myself off the vacation boozing.

Must be an over-use injury.

Merc: Admit it, you do it for the attention.

Track workout was fun yesterday. 2 sets of 4 repeats consisting of 1:40 on followed by 1:20 jog with a 5 minute jog between sets. At that time in the evening, the sun shines brightly one half of the track while the other half is sheltered by shade. As a result, we only suffered for half of each repeat.

I'm looking forward to running the 5km in St. Hubert this weekend with DF. It should be fun. Let's hope for good weather.

TB

Roly, admit it, you do it because you like the dance.

It's a good workout, TB. We did the same tonight. Running just over one lap of a 400m track is just the right distance. I may join you guys in St-Hubert if I manage to buy a fridge before the weekend. Ours just busted. Is there anything worse than the plop! of curdled milk as it drops into your cereal?

I do like to dance. Now put the bottle down and walk away slowly.

Thanks to DF for making this morning's 5km in St. Hubert possible.

Warm and humid conditions this morning. The course contained many twists and turns and a few hills throw in for good measure. I wanted to see if the time I ran two weeks ago in Brossard was an anomaly. I was delighted to discover that I could a 3:45/km pace without falling apart. I had enough left in me for a final sprint.

KZ: We missed you this morning. I think you would have had fun.

Odd: My watch recorded a time of 18:44 whilst the chip time indicates 18:41. I take it :)

TB

18:41 (pb)

You're welcom TB, congratulations on your fast finish.

Nice course, lucky there was some cloud cover and some wind.

Difficult for me, leg has been buggy more than normal lately, will give it some time off this week. Cycle, go to the pool, walk my neighbour's beagle, Charlie.

Anyone else running this weekend ?

Great runs you two! TB, two solid races in a row is a great sign. If I don't squeeze in a race soon, DDO is going to hurt...

This weekend was fridge shopping for me. I couldn't run yesterday, but managed to run long today for about 24Ks on the mountain.

My racing plans have changed. MTL half-marathon is out and Granby is in. Apparently I can't back out on a family tradition up in Tremblant on Labour Day weekend, although I thought an event had to occur at least a couple times before calling it a "tradition" .

Congrats TB nice PB.

Short run for me this morning.

Grommit the training is going slower then I hoped, I'll train slow and try to pick a race next year maybe try the XC half. So no Vermont this fall.
