Evil would be <i>lost</i> without you, Evil Lite.

it's nice seeing some more of the regulars back posting the last few days <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile"><br><br><br>
it's like spring is almost here ... running season is coming on strong ... goals are being set and runners are congregating with other runners again! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/banana.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banana">

I did more first speed work in a ****'s age this week. ugh...I wouldn't call it coming on strong.

He makes one wonder what kind of speedwork a raccoon does.

CoonEvil obviously doesn't know that one should just continue some sort of speedwork year round to avoid the horror of returning to it! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"><br><br><br>
haha ... seriously ... I do progression runs, an occassional interval workout on the dreadmill and fartlek type pick ups in the off season ... as much to fend off boredom and the horror of starting speedwork after months off from it as any possible training benefit.

You'd be a fast chick even if you didn't run.<br><br>
I mean that in a nice way. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile">

She's hella fast! I can't imagine going that fast. Yet.

nnej strikes me as goal-oriented enough that if she ever decides to include speedwork she'll probably enjoy the challenge of it <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Smile"><br><br>
interval repeats are the roughest for me ... I love them but hate them ... I esp love it when I do all the planned intervals, hit my goal times and live to tell the tale ... the feeling of accomplishment is cool ... even better than in HS track since I don't have anybody watching me and I still did it!

I often tell myself "Speedwork is the icing on the cake ... but you don't have a cake yet"

I look forward to "speedwork". I do most on the TM, so I can dial in pace and just hang on. Ladders, Yasso's, mile or 2 mile repeats or maybe a tempo run.

I like "speedwork", but don't tell my coach that.

I also fear no hills. My last long run had a 20ft total elevation gain. I <b>know</b> hills.</div>

If you really dislike running hills, you should head to New Hampshire and run through that state. I've heard there is a good amount of flat land there...

Not a hill to be found. Not even in the middle of the night!

I ran in NH last year and I didn't detect any stinkin hills.* Flat as a pancake.<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>
*My ability to create long term memories was probably affected by lack of sleep, though.
