We have never jumped on people here for saying something once or losing it and getting frustrated. We've always tried to be reasonable and only really pushed the 'buttons' of moderation or 'grizzly' grams or demerits - when a user became consistent with the shit stirring.<br><br><br>
you don't need me to remind you that Grizzly is not a poster here who stirs shit here.<br><br>
And - I'm sure he feels like crap anyway (even in real life he's under a great deal of pressure - read his post about going off on his team?) - He's a volunteer here as every moderator is - THAT gets you a 'bye" or "Buy" or whatever you call it - in my book.<br><br>
We're trying to manage 'moderation in moderation' and trying to keep a few posters from totally destroying what you've built here. In the end, we'll be successful or not be successful - you, the members - will decide that by either staying or leaving.<br><br>
I don't mind taking the 'bitch slapping' by members - I've a vested interest in the site and I should be the one who takes the heat - my moderators do what they do because they care for the community and do it free and without any expectation of payment.<br><br>
It's hard to moderate this site - and when you know people here personally, it gets that much harder.<br><br>
Do me a favor? Give us a break for awhile? NO ONE is banned - no one is moderated - no one has infractions and NO ONE other than the six people who received my pm - NO ONE is at risk of being moderated or banned.<br><br>
I posted in chrunners.net about some of this and I'm posting it here now - We will be reconsidering our banned/moderated user stance. The mods will be discussing it and as a group, they will decide. We may invite some users into the discussion to help us do what's right for the community.<br><br>
