I decided to HTFU yesterday and got a 25mi ride in the rain. Today and tomorrow I am flying solo with the little ones so I have no idea what I'll be able to contribute this weekend. Maybe we need several walks around the neighborhood or (*gasp*) I'll get on the TM after their bedtime.

I talked my girls into riding their bikes while I ran today. I told them they could chase me and I would chase them too. We made it 2x around the circle (.7mi total) before someone had to use the bathroom and not want to go back out.

That sounds like a fun game Dougie!!

I went out for a run last night and ended up walking a bit but total I covered 5 miles. I just got to post it on the daily thread though. I was up early today and I'm still probably not going to fall back asleep so I think I'll put in just a couple miles right now!

so I had a 3 mi run planned today - got cut to 2 miles bc of a last minute change to my plans tonight, and it got cut to 1.5 miles bc as I was running a large dark cloud came over. The rain wasn't a problem for me, but if it was going to pick up to more than the drizzle at the time, my car would be in bad shape - it's a convertible and it was parked with the top down!!! EEK! Made the decision to come back. No downpour yet, but my luck it would have poured if I decided to keep going.

I'll run longer tomorrow!!

I've been caught by that at the beach a few times and one time I was pretty far out on a long run. When I came back my in-laws were all worried because they'd found my keys but couldn't figure out what you needed to do to get the top up . Luckily, I too got back before any rain.

Yesterday I got in a very steamy run and a swim at the pool despite the threatening weather.

FYI, starting tonight I will be away from the internet until next Monday morning. I know the game ends on Friday but I'll have Wed/Thu/Fri to post when I come back. Hopefully I will get in some meaningful points on vacation.

I heard that a certain hawt & hairy team member locked their keys in their car on a run. And when they got back to the car they called for roadside assistance. The operator told them that help would be there in about 45 minutes. This certain runner said, "Oh, could you please hurry! My car is a convertible, the top is down and it is starting to rain!"

I took a couple rest days after my trail race on Saturday night. I'm running tonight so I'll log those points later or in the morning!

Good work everyone!

That's only a little more than 33 miles each. I'll get right on that.

Who's with me?

Hey guys, sorry I haven't checked in lately. I blew out my back on Sunday trying to get my lawn tractor unstuck when it ran over a log. Took two days off from running and just got in from 9.5 miles. It still hurt a bit but I should be okay to run straight through Friday.
