We had 50 degrees at 3am in Buffalos, it's about 15 now at 10am, winds in the city were recorded as high as 80 mph, a storm surge on lake erie raised the lake 10 feet at our end and dropped it 5 feet in Toledo, sending all the ice down the Niagara river and into the first ward of Buffalo--kind of a messy morning here in the Queen city.

It's 50 in Boston, but not for long...

Yes, it's coming our way. Temps are supposed to plummet tonight, then back up for the weekend.

Yah, we got the wind in Columbus, OH last night. Blew down the center section of one of the maple trees in the back yard. ALso, lots of downed branches in the woods. It's all firewood...

My run this morning sucked. 10* with 25mph winds.

I think I am the "northern-est" NE here---and we are getting rain right now (drizzle) with expected HIGH winds this afternoon (i.e. power outages)--but its warm (think its in the low 30s or 40s?)

We had it in Dallas yesterday morning and afternoon. The cats woke me up at 3:00 and, as I was getting them food, I checked and it was 66 outside. "Hot dog! I'll run outside this morning." Well, I went back to bed intending to get up at 4:15, but I woke up late and hit the TM in the gym. Still kicking my own ass over that.

I didn't take a jacket with me to work and by the time I left it was in the low 40s. I was dying.

Anyhow, I get home and there are lots of fences down, trash cans blown about, and there were big grass fires all over.

It's 42F and smells like springtime here on the NH seacoast. I can see that won't be for much longer.

Edited to add: This graphics is updated on the server so now you can always come back to this post and see what's going on. Isn't that exciting?!

Storm is on it's way AGAIN through the midwest. Hour-by hour shows either snow or rain every hour from 6 pm thru Sat afternoon.

Rain, cold, sleet, snow...
The phones and computers are down at the school from the 60-80 mph winds a few days ago. Looks like it's about to get much worse. Take cover mid-west...dust off you hamsterwheels.

- Two days ago it dropped 50+ degrees (from 50 to -1). That's only happened twice in the last 25 years
- Winds a plenty like you said
- Now snow snow snow.

What the hell is going on? I was psyched about a long bike outside this weekend a few days ago. Sucks rotest:

I am SO happy I live in VA. After 3 years in CT and 3 years in MI I don't ever want those northern winters.

I loved living in those states, but once you move south, you can never go back!!!

I'm hoping for somewhat clear roads for a ride this weekend, or maybe enough snow to XC ski, but I'm guessing it will be a run on slippery roads and some long intervals on the trainer.
