there was a car accident just outside our house a few minutes ago. We live on one of those narrow winding roads an people always drive way too fast. Well some guy hit a tree. Luckily, he is ok and had a cell phone. I ran out there but everything was fine. One of our neighbors told us there are a lot of accidents on this road. We saw another one a few weeks ago just down the street. I don't know why people have to drive so fast<img alt="angry8.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/angry8.gif">

My mom used to live on a curve and was nervous every Friday and Saturday night that some drunk would miss it and come careening into her bedroom.<br><br>

Both cars that I have seen that had an accident on my road crossed the yellow line to the other side. That makes me nervous. I'm glad he's OK. We had a lady bust a tire in front of our house one morning...she hit our neighbor's mailbox and another neighbor's tree. It was an awful sound. <img alt="sad.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/sad.gif"><br><br>

We had a guy smash my car while it was parked out in front of my house.<br><br>
Pretty impressive considering I'm 4 houses from the corner.<br><br>
Very cool because I got more from the insurance than the car was worth.

Well that worked out for you then. I want a new car but still owe too much on this car to get one. I don't think I would get enough in trade. Some of my college friends (more aquiantences) crashed their car into a house...right into the middle of these poor people's kitchen. The driver was drunk of course.

There's a curve not far from our house. It's down hill, then a sharp left turn. There are signs. There's a blinky light. At least once a week, someone takes out the guardrail. Ironically, it's worst early in the spring--the first few warm days and again in the summer. During the winter, like during a snow/ice storm, it rarely gets hit.

We had an idiot dump his crotch rocket on the golf course across the street from our house. He'd have been a dead idiot if he hadn't been in leather and a decent helmet.<br><br>
I was the first person on the scene. (After I went running across the small field that separates our subdivision from the golf course.) He shattered both arms and both legs, and was not in good shape. When the paramedics responded, one of the medics on the call was one of my colleagues from the coroner's office. So the guy had 2 deputy coroners there!<br><br>
Turns out, our biker dude worked with some friends of ours. He later heard that he had 2 deputy coroners there. Apparently he had a good sense of humor, and thought it was funny.<br><br>
He is fine now, thank goodness!

Mud season is underway here and the idiots are picking up speed again! I live on a corner ( the bridge that allows people to go straight has been washed out for almost a year now.. THAT is fun to watch them get air borne of the hill on the other side! ) I pulled out of my driveway and a guy ( kid really ) up the street came whipping around the corner while I am still across one side of the road and kept going .. not letting me straighten out - I just sat there with my mouth open for a second or two- stunned!
