It's okay to ask for help or hugs or whatever you need - even if you don't think whatever you're suffering is big enough to warrant it.

It is okay to be sad - even if you don't think you should be.

It is okay to need - even if you think someone else might need more.

It is okay to want someone to hold you - even if you don't feel like you might deserve it.

It. Is. Okay.

So - today in the PRT I propose a room: lots of good couch spaces, fireplaces (if you want), snuggly blankets and puppies and kittens - whatever you need to just feel cared for - wanted, held, soothed.

If I could I'd hold all of you. So today, if you need - there's a room for you to be tapped out, sad, hurt, bewildered, lonely. I will take care of you here.

Ok, I'm asking for well wishes for two things:
1. My grandma is suffering right now, she's in the end stages of Parkinson's, and her drugs are not working anymore, and she's hallucinating, and in the hospital. Parkinson's sucks so bad, and it can actually go on like this for a long time, as long as her body holds out. I went home to see her this past weekend, and she is teeny and frail, and bruised from falling. I'm very sad, and it's tough seeing her this way when my best memories of her are of her strong, fun, and when she was capable. I'm clinging to those memories, instead of the picture that is now in my mind of her at the hospital. So I hope that they can regulate her somewhat if possible, and if not that she is not forced to live in that horrible middle ground that Parkinson's provides for too long. That sounds horrible to say, because I don't want to lost my grandma, but I don't want her suffering.

2. Well wishes are needed for something personal, that I can't really divulge right now. I am hoping to have good news by the end of the week. No, I am not pregnant nor wishing to be. So God, please, don't wish that on me!

Thanks, bud.

My hubby's grandma had it too, and watching her slowly, painfully die was horrible. She lived for a couple years after she was mentally gone, and was in long term care, and it just SUCKS. My grandma has actually been pretty fortunate (it's all relative) because the meds worked for her for a long time.

I can't come in here. Because if people see me cry, they'll be nice to me and when you're crying and people are nice to you it's makes you cry more and then you can't get control of yourself and you start doing that HIC HIC HIC crying thing and well, that's just not the image that I want to portray.

ASG - you have such strength and it impresses the hell out of me. You can cry here and then be strong out there. Because if you don't take care of you - you're worthless to those who need you.

Buxe - ah hell. (((Buxe)))
