Yoho is one of the four contiguous national parks located in the Rockies west of Calgary (Banff, Kootenay, Jasper, Yoho), that along with Waterton Lakes, Glacier (not to be confused with the US version) and Mt. Revelstoke constitute Canada's Mountain Parks.

Yoho is the smallest of the four, but has to my mind the most amazing trails available for backpackers. Yoho Valley, Emerald Lake, Lake Ohara... all breathtaking.

We were there earlier in the week but limited to the lower elevations due to snow and ice that have lingered long this spring. I'll post some pictures in my blog later this weekend. Amazing hiking, just amazing.
