Yesterday, the high desert got some snow! It was cool while it lasted and as you can tell in the pictures, my daughter enjoyed it.<br>

Ain't no mountain high enough? My uncle used to drive up in the mountains and fill up the back of his pick up truck with snow on Christmas morning. Then he would build a snowman which would quickly melt. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif">

It is called the high desert because it is the valley near all the mountains. Big Bear, Arrowhead, and Wrightwood. We are two hours away from LA.

The day I was driving home this past Feb, when I passed through Apple Valley it was 80*. I got home to snow. I'd much rather have CA weather on a daily basis.
