Yesterday, the high desert got some snow! It was cool while it lasted and as you can tell in the pictures, my daughter enjoyed it.
Last weekend it was warm enough for short sleeves and this weekend- snow!
http://s226.photobucket.com/albums/d...%20California/

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Ain't no mountain high enough? My uncle used to drive up in the mountains and fill up the back of his pick up truck with snow on Christmas morning. Then he would build a snowman which would quickly melt.

Kimbro, are you anywhere near Anza Borrego state park? My wife and friends are heading out there today to do some wildflower photography... hopefully it didn't snow there!

Oh! You're north of LA. I can never figure out where "high desert" is exactly.

It is called the high desert because it is the valley near all the mountains. Big Bear, Arrowhead, and Wrightwood. We are two hours away from LA.

Kimbro! You live by so much of my family. I was in Apple Valley and Victorville (pretty much, your area) in Feb and last Nov and Oct.

I can't get over that it snowed there. Aren't you already up to around 85*??

More like high 60s. We weren't expecting snow- as you can tell by my ex's short sleeves.

Next time you head this way, give me a heads up.

The day I was driving home this past Feb, when I passed through Apple Valley it was 80*. I got home to snow. I'd much rather have CA weather on a daily basis.
