Linda's suggestion in my other post about adding nuts to the morning oatmeal, which I usually do, got me thinking. I wonder if adding chopped nuts to an existing oatmeal cookie recipe would work too?

I have some organic oatmeal stuff from Costco that has flax seeds and chopped up nuts it in. Great combination. Oatmeal cookies are good with anything BUT raisins. Don't kill the cookie by adding raisins. Yech! Oatmeal chocolate chip are the bomb. Oatmeal chocolate chip with nuts would be even better.

Oatmeal cookies with butterscotch chips and pecans are my favorite. No one else in the house likes the butterscotch though so they don't get made much. I'd eat them all.<br>

I like all of them. Last time I made them I did use chocolate chips and nuts and they were yum-o! I'm going to play with the recipe, I like the idea of flaxseeds and maybe sunflower seeds too.

Especially raw. Don't give me any heated ones...

Roasted adds so much depth to the flavor. I roast almonds or pecans and season them with a variety of things for snacks. Yummers.
