Not really.

Usual Tuesday 5.65m run with the M-Dawg. The Andyman was waiting out front and we picked up The Diesel, fresh from a decadent weekend in Florida, at her corner. Ironboy caught up on the hill about 3/4 of a mile out with a silly grin on his face and some sad excuse about hitting the snooze button. And he's not even a real newlywed yet! In true New England fashion, yesterday mornign we had snow squalls - at 5:30 AM today it was 55F!! I've forgotten how to dress for warmer weather - though I had the shorts on, the long sleeve shirt was too much! C'mon spring!!

I was wondering if there would be an April fool's joke in here this morning

5 miles this morning in a humid rain. My big toe hurt from when I sliced it on the lane line last Friday, I hope it's not getting infected.... Will probably hit the trainer for an easy 30-45 minute spin tonight.

Have a great day all!

40 minutes on the trainer 20 min in 53-19 @ just over 18 mph then 10 min in 53-17 @ just over 19 mph then 2 min in 19,17,15,14,13. Avg 18.6mph. Wanted to run afterwards but felt a little nauseous so I did a little lifting and situps. Plan run outside today Spring has sprung.

Today, I ran w/ Thor and LRR and dragged their sorry slow butts down the road... man, these guys need to take their training up a notch

And in the real world... HELL Tuesday is upon us once again. The dreaded Hell Tuesday is 1 mile easy, 1 mile medium, 1 mile MAX on the treadmill.

I managed a 9:13 mile. That would be a PR by 17s. And that.... is no joke.

Hellish Tuesday for me too. Very tired legs. But, we ran the usual 5-mile course, and close to our PR (can't tell even tired legs to slow down sometimes). But, it came back to haunt us during the swim - 1500 meters was all we could do. Way too much effort for little speed.
500 warm up
4x125
4x75 pull
200 kick
100 cool down

I brought my bike in to work today in the hopes the rain would end and I'd ride at lunch. That probably won't happen given my current energy level, but I was able to show the bike to a worker at the Y who is interested in buying one. Still tracking my new on on its course up from NC. It should be here tomorrow!!!

Someone had a seizure at the fitness center this morning--last month, someone had a heart attack. Scary!
Fools, the whole lot of you!

Alaska Mike: I know your weather query was just on the surface, but as the days march closer, don't worry about the weather for anything other than whether you wear shorts and singlet or tights. Nothing more. Because you have the training in you that no matter the day, you will stomp the hills from Hopkinton to downtown Boston.

So I've already fallen for a few April Fools jokes, and probably a few more before the day is out...

5.65 mile run early this morning with the typcial Tuesday hooligans plus RonBo. RonBo hauled ass up and down those hills. He kept talk'n 'bout 10 minute miles, but damn, this guy was pumping away at 5:45's with the M-Dawg pulling Lord John, the Diesel puffing black oil clouds behind, and the Andyman sweating it out, and me pulling up the rear trying to hold on.
Followed immediately by...

1 hour Trainer session:
o WU - 20 min
o 2 x 2' in each Gear (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5) - note gear 5 is 53x16 (I think)
Pushed a world record 1306W over 1 hour. Okay, so maybe it was only 306W. Legs still tired from weekend. Surprised I recorded such a high number.

Noooooooo!!
Quite hellish this Tuesday so far.
Felt sick in the morning, sore throat, light headed, runny nose. Had a 12mi trail run scheduled with a guy from the tri club... so I went there. But felt like the final miles of a marathon. I felt bad about ruining his workout, but he was fine, he suggested that we head back to the parking lot. Ended up with only 4.8mi.
Haven't been sick in a year, so why now, when the racing schedule is picking up?? Maybe it's nothing just some minor stuff. But I hate when it happens. Isn't working out supposed to make us healthier??
