Morning all!

I'm up and watching the tour. I'm not 100% sure of my plan today as I want to ride some hills, but I need some spares first and none of the stores open until 10. I'll make that decision based on the weather, which has been crazy today. Anyway, ride or no ride, I've got 13 days, 22hrs until the start, so it doesn't matter much. Waiting for my number and just trying to enjoy some 'free time.' More later.

Was supposed to do my zn 2 long run today, 78 minutes.

Instead, opted to sleep in and take a DOR. Last DOR was last week Monday and next wasn't scheduled until next Saturday. Am planning to do it tomorrow morning after my swim since coach said it was ok to occasionally "roll-over" workouts into the next week...though I still find myself thinking about doing it later today.

I didn't know what DOR meant either. Thanks for asking Stitcher.

Rest day for me. Swam about 150 yds while at the lake with my family. It felt good but that is enough for today.

1 hour on the exercise bike for me. 15 min WU, 3 x 10 min @ 220 watts with 5 min recovery after each. Covered 21.6 mi (funny how every 1 hr session on the exercise bike comes out to exactly 21.6 mi). My final indoor ride for this hitch.

Supposed to get a 20 min strength/cardio session in tonight, not sure it will happen as I need to get laundry done. I'm heading to Anchorage tomorrow night and then onto home Tuesday night.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend, tri-peeps!

Oly tri this morning. No PR or hardware, but quite happy with this race. Feeling more like my training is back on track.

Son1 did the sprint. He hadn't run or swum since the race the day before he left for the tour. Ironically, he PRed and snagged 3rd AG.

I scored a zero today. I've been a bit sick and tired, probably some tiredness from the ironman I did catching up with me. I did get on the bike and my power was crap... so I thought it best to just bag it and rest.

About an hour and change walk/run with a friend and pushing a thankfully sleeping baby. Got out early enough to beat the heat. so nice to rejoin the Sunday running group. Hoping for more running and less walking each time.

Enjoy the day everyone!

Hola, TEAM LIT!

Today was race number six of 6 in the USATF-New England Mountain Goat Race Series with 3.8 miles up Mount Ascutney in Vermont. Ascutney is a mini Mount Washington covering exactly half the distance and half the elevation, so it is hard but only half as fun.

Coming into the race I was in 3rd place in the 40+ age group filled with a few legends of the sport, and I was sitting in the Top-10 by rounding out with exactly slot number 10. And after today I am pretty sure I held everybody off to maintain placement and, try as I might, was not able to gain on any in front of me. A good day, especially with a series top 10 finish (I hope) and 3rd place age group.

Even if not, these races are such a blast, and the people are simply awesome not to mention highly talented.

Capped the race off with 4 hours of sipping beers while floating in the river with about 30 to 45 of those who completed the race series. Was one big party. fun fun fun.

22min OWS in the lake as planned recovery. My workout was supposed to be 30min but being tossed around in the washing machine (it was very wavy from all the boats out on the lake) my back was feeling a bit sore so I cut it short.
