1hr spin class, sweated gallons. First time in a long time to ride that hard. FIB 1500m swim.

Nice quiet morning to start my 44th b-day. I will be 45-49AG next year! As we old timers know, the participation volume may start decreasing in the AG, but many good ones are still going strong. I have no sign of slowing down myself, thank you very much. Finished 8th OAF at the yesterday's 5k (with PR), kicking some younsters rear-ends. Sushi and the movie, 127hrs, later. No sign of my new MTB yet

Good evening, TEAM LIT!

28 mile run today for me. Did the Mill Cities Relay. Raced leg 1 of 5: 5.7 miles, ran it in 34:30, maybe 6:00 or under (?) pace. Then jogged it on home for a course mileage of 27.1 miles in 3:25. Or maybe 3:26. Or maybe 3:24. Was my 5th year in a row running the whole way. My team, coed masters, came in 4th in category. one spot out of the podium and the highly coveted "brick", in 2:51. Missed 3rd place by, like, a minute.

Fun year ender for all, including me.

Finally got 9 miles logged after three tries. PF flaring because of some shoes I'm testing. I've suspended tests since I'm afraid I'll get hurt if I carry on. Arches finally loosened up enough this afternoon for me to run.

Crapload of work in the AM.

Everyone bailed on me for our first Tri club Endurance Spin that I was leading... I have to do some electrical work to do... the Bears are playing... I was up until 5am and I got to meet REO Speedwagon... My white blood cell count is so low that I might die if I go out in public. I swear, the excuses these people come up with...

Anyway, glad I went because a new member came and I got to break him in. Another guy was there when I got there, but he's the retired Bears player that I don't know the name of, real nice guy so I told him to stay - and then later one other tri club member and his wife came too... Oh, and the 2 people who came in, did some stuff, and then left. Like a 20min spin. And didn't talk much, to us, but hey whatever :)

Ok long story... 80min spin. FIB 30min strength/contortion.

Not exactly a DOR, but sorta close.

Was up moderately early to start getting ready for folks to come over for the wrapping party.

I had people from work over to wrap gifts. Actually, it was rather like an intervention.....because I have enough wrapping paper to wrap gifts for every kid in China.....TWICE!

Mom and I had some last minute things to pick up at the stores and all that, then we had to argue with the cheese straw dough. That stuff is DENSE....and the cookie press was hard as crap to work. It took the two of us. I'm thinking that maybe we were doing something wrong....but, they turned out ok.

Menu:

Beverages

spiced cider (most folks passed this up in favor of wine)

wine

tea

soda

Food

brownies

pumpkin pie bites (bake pie, cut into 1 inch pieces, plate -- SUPER easy)

fruit tray

spicy meatballs

chips and pico de gallo

asparagus wraps (cresent rolls, prociutto (sp?), havarti rolled up and baked) YUUUMMMM

Goal: Nothing that required utensils......the meatballs could be scooped on to plate, and used w/ toothpicks.

Yay!

Great fun, and an easy way to have folks meet mom without having to drag mom to work.

Was supposed to be a 10miler, but poor DogCo was at the ER until 1AM Sunday Morning. He got an infection on his face, and lack of sleep+not good sleep, did not go well for that. I have Tuesday off and will do a nice easy long run.
