On this day in 1973 Bruce Springsteen's debut album, "Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.," was released.

Out at 7 as Iron Boy came down the road. We picked up The Diesel and The Andyman shortly thereafter for a cool 10.2 mile cruise. Today's low 20's seemed balmy. I had strong legs but low energy today - the company helped to chug through.

Princess cards she sends me with her regards
Me...

14 mile run early this morning. Was a bit colder than expected, me a bit more tired than normal, but good company made this run fly by.

I did my first 225 yard swim today!!!
I got in the pool and it was chilly so i just dove in and pushed off and
tried to kick for 25 yards. Decided that wasn't warming me up fast enough,so i starting swimming remembering that sheldon said start with your longest you can do first. Well i got to 100 and said i think i can go farther and kept going.I felt my form break between 200-225 so i decided i should stop and catch my breath. rested 45 secs and started out again to see how long it takes me to a do a 200. Well thats turns out to be 4.15. I ended up doing 2 more sets of 200. Then some 100's 75' and 50's. Total yardage was 1200.Then it was off to the hot tub to warm up.

I learned that my flip turns are more somersaults than flip.

I went for my first workout in a while, and my very first run ever in Munich. I just got here last night. 11km through the Olympic Park, mostly running different loops and trying to get lost and then find my way again. I did 30mins of Yoga when I got home. The Flexible Warrior DVD from Spinervals - it was pretty good, I was impressed and felt really good.

Saturday club workout - about 3000yd swim plus some block-start practices (our club-sponsored meets in 5 weeks). It was at a local H.S. instead of the community college we usually swim at. A nice pool with 8 lanes. 45+ showed up. A nice breakfast afterwards as usual.

DH and I usually go to a yoga class on Sat. but I decided to skip it I feel less energy and this yoga class has stepped up a notch with more continuous flows. Better save some energy for the tomorrow's MP run. Will do some easy yoga DVD with the kids.

Enjoy your weekend!

Quick post... Started the morning with 30mins sitting on the bike going nowhere. Man I hate the trainer!!! And it's only January...

Wardrobe asjustment, and out for a run. Did my usual long run route. Pretty cool because there's a bridge that goes over the bike path. I went over it as my running group was going under. Neat to see them from another perspective! They start too late for me to run with them when I have to work. 8.57m, 1:15, 8:48pace.

Got home at 9:15. Had to leave for work at 9:30. I love my job. I just hate when it gets in the way of my running!

Lucky for me Hell Tuesday is on Biggest Loser night. If that won't keep me honest in HR 4 then nothing will!

Forced rest day for me....
ear infection....fever this morning.

Sooo......
I might go and do some walking on the treadmill just to keep moving.
I am starting to get a bit concerned that my half in 2 weeks will be impacted by this....but....well....what can you do?

I figure that if I can get up tomorrow and feel better, no fever, etc...I can still get some long run miles in. Right? Sheesh.

One of the possible side effects of the decongestant that the urgent care doc gave me was: "may cause dizziness." Good grief! I DON"T need THAT. lol

Stitch....if you put the training in you'll be fine. Just think of being well-rested. Better than pushing now and remaining sick on race day!
