On this day in 1998 President Bill Clinton denied having an affair with a former White House intern, telling reporters, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

I'm off for a day on the slopes at Bretton Woods. High near 20, packed powder conditions, comfy coach ride, lots of neighbors and families... But no workout. Except sliding down the hill, of course.

Remember tri-peeps, "it depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is". They are who we think they are.

Just over 20km on the OC1. Windy as, especially on the way back. Paddled down to the end of the river, the down the river it meets to the bay and round the corner to a beach. Bit of a break to wait out a thunderstorm (wasn't real close, but better to be safe than sorry), then headed back into a raging head wind! Nice change from always going upstream, and found a few bumps to play in. Hard work though!!

LRR loves pink. It shows off in a flattering way his feminine side.

Very busy weekend just starting up for me. Today is rest day from workouts but get-to-it day on the old house to do what I can for Open House tomorrow. Hope to be in bed early for an early morning long run.

Me...

3 mile very easy run. Saw no deer, but because I slept in, there were a lot of cars in its place.

Might swim later if I feel I need a break from house work, or maybe I'll snatch a swim over an extended lunch. Probably not, but I'm eyeing it.

Is you is or is you ain't, Tri-peeps?

My local Tri club (brand new...just formed!) is having an indoor-outdoor tri today (really more like training, not racing) with something like a 45 min swim, 45 min spin bike session and an outdoor run. Should be fun, though I have the impression that I may be running by myself 1/2 mile behind everyone else....but who cares! I'm just excited to have a tri club. We're BTU- Bloomington Triathlon United. Coolio!

45mins in the fish bowl. Remind me never, ever to go to the gym Saturday morning... Two lanes of water aerobics, one lane of swim lessons, so I ended up splitting a lane. Good thing this was a lazy swim...

Tomorrow is a 15mile race. Weather is looking perfect. Just hoping the legs are up for it!

3800yd swim with the tri club. Bunches of 300's (25x12, 300 straight, 50x6, stargith, 100x 3, etc. etc). Couldn't keep up with the lane mates and had to take some rest between. Just plain tired I guess with close to 50mpw running. I am skipping the Yoga class (again, sigh..) to give myself some recovery time for tomorrow's 20miler.

Good luck, 4bm! Yep, the weather sounds decent.

2:00 Hr long bike ride. 10 degrees. slight breeze. gentle rolling terrain. Averaged 16.9 mph.

I got my bike back this morning - new wheels (heavier) that I'll keep for training and put my nicer light ones back on for racing. Also had new crank and chain set put on with 50/34 set up. Has made me a bit faster than I was with the 52/39 because I've spent more time on the outer ring than I did when it was 52.
Was a great afternoon for a bike ride. Sunny and fresh. Quite a few peeps were out and about. I sort of bonked near the end. Felt v hungry and tired and just span home for the last ten minutes. Had only had soup for lunch and had been out with friends last night and seen off 6pts of guinness, so no big surprise I ran out of strength

Thor, good luck with the house. My buddy who was storing a bunch of my stuff in the states just moved. I just happened to be in town last week and was able to do the hard work of carry my junk up from his old basement. Moving blows in general.

Me, nice trainer workout. 5x5' with about 2:30 rest in between. Still getting used to working out again after a couple weeks off. Tomorrow's long run will tell me if I am really back to 100%.

No time to read all the posts. I put in 10 on the bike this mornign for a warm-up. Then I was off to a 5K race. Short warm-up there and then off. 19:37 was my official time. Great run. I have already posted my report.

Off to spend the rest of the day running with the family.
