I was all bout five (no jive) in the pool this mornign. 2,000 yards as...

Twenty-five lap Forrest Gump warm-up

Five laps pull buoy

Five laps flippers

I had the day off today because I had one day use it or lose it vacation that had to be used by 1 Apr. So, I hit the road for a ride this morning. A little chilly and I was about one layer off on my clothes. Was very glad I put my shoe covers on. I was waddling on frozen toes as it was afterwards. Did 33 miles in a little under two hours. Not a bad ride to close out March, nothing much but nice easy riding. Will head out for a run in a little while.

Enjoy all.

Swim day - 3200 yd workout with the tri group this morning. Still have tired legs from yesterday, so I'll probably delay my afternoon run until tomorrow morning. I don't need to be burning out this early!

Recovery swim for me at lunchtime - I'm pretty sore in the quads after a race yesterday. did i mention i had a race yesterday?

Swam 1000m straight. focus on early arm bend and as little leg movement as possible. Was okay; about 24mins.

Going to do a low intensity trainer ride tonight: 90mins steady. Watch a couple of Sopranos episodes. I'm doing the whole set, start to finish while on the trainer. So far I'm 3/4 through Series One. I'd forgotten how funny it was in those early days.

trip to NJ was cancelled so I get to stay home this week and workout in my own Y. Everyone thought I had been on vacation.
Swam today. 400 warm-up/drills. 10 x 100 with varying rest between 100's of :30, :20, :30 and :10. Stayed at about 1:45 and 1:50 for each 100.

Would much rather be in the islands today than the office. Have a great day.

As a head's up, I'm entering a period where my time on the boards will likely be limited, so if I suddenly drop off, rest assured that it's because I'm out getting hitched and all things related. It all starts NOW! And when I'm down, it'll be another 2 to 3 weeks before I'm back.

Me...

2+ mile easy leg stretcher run early this chilly morning. Followed immediately by...

40 lap swim:
Back from Cali,

PF hurting like crazy. 6+ miles a day walking, pushing a double stroller, for 5 days, probably did not help. Trip was good though! I know the hills at the San Diego zoo did not help at all. ouch. Hope to get in an interval run this afternoon, if PF allows it....

Went to the pool this morning. Should have stayed in bed. It was just one of those sessions that didn't feel right. I managed 1200 yds- focusing on form.

This afternoon, DH and I are off to our new gym to meet up with a personal trainer.

Thank you, Beth. We can't believe it either. I'm sure all of you who are married can say the exact same thing, but the last week and a half has been filled with comments such as, "I can't believe the wedding is in less than 2 weeks." And over the weekend it was, "I can't believe the weddding is in less than a week."

Just last night we broke out our wedding song and, for the first time EVER, tried to learn to Waltz. It wasn't pretty, but it was fun. We have a few more nights to get it right. Neither of us are dancers. It will be ugly, it will be robotic, and it may also be clumsy... but it will be us.

T-minus something. It's all coming so fast that, honestly, a count down isn't even needed, because there's no idle time to count up or down or figure things out. It's a special time. I just wonder how Lord John the Oven Stuffer is holding up
