Stayed up after the 4:30am feeding for a 50-min run. I didn't exercise yesterday and couldn't chance not getting something today. Will definitely crash soon!

Have a great day everyone!

One word: REST

Not a big training weekend (48 mile ride + 2 mile run on Saturday; 10.2 mile ride + 7.25 mile run on Sunday), but I was at the Jersey shore all weekend and spent a lot of time surfing, body surfing and bobbing around in the water with my 7-year old daughter. I am feeling the pain this morning.

Hope everyone who raced this weekend get a good rest day as well today!

I'm jealous of both your workouts and your trip to the shore! Not a good weekend for me. I was sick all weekend.

Hope the racers fared well.

50 mile ride on the weekend; otherwise, a long weekend spent watching DD's swim meet (she did pretty well).

Pretty busy evening of workouts planned-- full body lifting, followed by teaching my ZUMBA class at the Y, and then hopping in the pool. Plan on warm up, drills and some eaiser swimming and then some 50yd repeats at threshold pace.

Still catching up on weekend posts. I was busy camping, sucking it up (and by sucking it up I mean tossing out a personal worst in the 5K by over 2 min) at my 5K trail race, and taking my first ever pair of bike shoes (Louis Garneau) and Speedplay pedals for a test spin. I was easily cranking at 22-23mph yesterday-- it felt great! I can not WAIT to race in bike shoes in 3 weeks I bought the shoes/pedals on sale on Friday after months of shopping around and trying on different brands. Pair of Sidis felt amazing, but I went with a single velcro strap for ease/transition time and also price. Hooray for good deals!

Happy training everyone!

Today 16 mile run, 75% in z1 rest in z2. Yesterday was a 4 hour ride with the last hour in HIM to olympic bike pace, plus 45minute run at 7:30 pace off bike. Which made the run today a lot tougher, but finally got up to 8min pace after getting through the soreness.

Congratulations to all the racers!

6.3mi run around the Charles River after work. It was 82F with 1000% humidity so it was a tough go. The sky was amazing with thunderstorms off on the horizon and the sun starting to set. It was quite the adventurous ride home with tornado warnings on the radio and huge anvil topped clouds with lightning in them all around. When I got home I found our pop-up gazebo lying on the side of the pool. Summer really is the best!
