Good Morning All!

Looks like this weekend will be a mess, here in VT. Lots of nice rain, freezing rain, sleet, and even some snow. Sounds like March to me. Well, in like a lion...

15 minutes of rowing followed by 60 minutes of easy but 110 rpm spinning. I'm hoping to get out for a lunch time run, since running opportunities this weekend will be slim.

Have a great day everybody.
Good morning folks,

Busy morning today. I lifted this morning, doing upper body and legs. Skipped the leg press and squats since my knee was a little sore so it was just leg extensions and seated leg curls. Then I did yoga. A friend was the instructor and I accused her of changing posses based on if I was able to do them. If I could do it she moved on but if I had a problem we seemed to stay on that one longer. It was a good class and ended with some ab work. Then I decided to get some pool work in so I did a straight 1200 yard swim. I should be at 1650 yards by the end of the month which is good so I can train for the Olympic distance swim that I signed up for in June. LRR and Thor were also in the pool.

Have a great weekend and stay dry, if possible.

Hello London!!!

Pretty early to be running this late but...

As MoN says, swam next to Ironboy at the YMCA this mornign. 2,000 yards as...

900y Forest Gump warm-up (swam the last of these laps in a PR 54 seconds)

300y drill up/swim back (2x l, r, catch-up)

400y pull buoy

400y cool-down

I was pretty amazed by the 54 second lap!!

40 minutes in the pool today-1350 yards. Combo of kicking, drills and trying to get stronger on my freestyle. The pool was WAY crowded, all lines had at least 2 people in them, and more waiting to get in-you can tell everyone is starting to think about TRI season quickly approaching. 2 older ladies who "walk" kicked someone out of the "leisure lane" which I think was wrong--they should have showed up at 5:30am like the rest of us.
Happy Friday everyone!

I am actually going to run outside today. The weather/road conditions look like they will cooperate for my fav 5.5 mile run around a local lake.
Need to strength train as well since I took yesterday off.

Skipped the trainer session last night do to a fierce craving I developed for a Midwestern style fish fry. Don't ask...these happen to me on occasion. So we went to the local fry house and shelved the salmon for today.

That means I've been up for an hour or so making circles in the garage with Coach Troy and Hillacious.

45 minute fartlek run planned for lunch and I'm toying with a triple so I can sleep in tomorrow. If I do it, it will be 2000 or so meters of easy swimming and some drills.

No work for the weekend and buy off from the boss to push back if the area insists on meeting.

Rest day for me. Last night I did 40 minutes on the stationary bike, hill route level 13. Getting pretty close to a "real" workout. Today my right knee is dandy, the left one hurts if I twist it, but otherwise is okay.

Make yourself heard today Peeps!
