Morning peeps!!

Thanks again for all the well wishes following our near-accident. You are the best.

Blue Man Group was really fun last night.

AND NOW, it's Friday! Yay! I have a decently hard workoout to hit - 70 minutes with 6 miles at marathon pace. Better get my butt moving.

Anyone have fun weekend plans? I am going to the Milwaukee Bucks game tomorrow night. It will be for hosting work clients, but should be fun. I have never been to a pro B-Ball game before, so I am excited - even if it is the Bucks.

Lots of GOTR stuff going on too - busy, busy, busy.

Oh, forgot to mention more good stuff. Since we have been talking about college so much --> starting this Saturday, DS is going to start a 4 week "Saturday Enrichment Program" at the UW. It is for 5th-8th graders and the classes all take place at the UW. James is doing Stop Motion Animation. Should be so cool. I did something like this when I was a kid and LOVED it (I did archeology). I hope he loves it and I hope the program instills and excitement for college.

Greetings, RIL, and all who shall follow.

I ended up with a goose-egg for mileage yesterday. Planned on running after the work-day was complete, but my quads felt like shredded meat. Decided to switch today's usual off-day with yesterday. My quads are thanking me now, and we'll give the 5 miler another try this evening. :)

Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Missy! This isn't yesterday's video, but it's Oskar doing the same thing last night.

Chiro this morning. I rescheduled the apmt from Wed to today because I knew I'd need it after extruding. And I need to ship some stuff. And... not sure what else is on tap for today.

Weekend - we actually have nothing planned for the first time in like 5 weeks. I'm looking forward to it & will probably spend a good chunk of time in the studio.

Wicked schmart puppy!

Have you considered the rolling treat balls? Here's one example

:

One of these would keep Beauregard entertained for a while. He was highly food motivated. Pippin even tries his luck from time to time. Gypsi could care less, though she does wonder why Pip is getting food and she isn't....

With a GS pup, you'd probably want to make sure he doesn't decide to chew on the ball, as he'd probably get it open, but if he learns that rolling = food, he might be happy with rolling the ball all around the place :)

morning everyone

cute video of the pup - he is wicked smart - I am pretty sure that megs wouldn't figure it out. I ended taking her last night but she was highly unmotivated and only made it a mile. I took her back to the car, finished another 3 and did have time to take her home before lifting.

BTW - ladies night at the gym was redonkulous. Legs were the worst with leg curl to exhaustion with 4 negative onlys at the end, then into leg extension, same thing, then leg press and then reduced range of motion static lunges. I seriously thought that my legs muscles were going to aslpode off my bones and erupt into flames. I am dead serious. After one side, trainer "now switch", I had to grab the step next to me and then promptly fell over. they gave us wine after :)

3 miles this morning. Pup ran way better.

Morning peeps.

well, the sniffles is now a full blown head cold BUT it seems to be staying in the head and not getting in my chest, and that's all I care about. I had (free) tix last night to see the Upright Citizens Brigade, but I didn't go. I was actually feeling really feverish and had the chills when I left work, so I went home, took a hot shower, made supper and sat my sorry self on the couch til bedtime. I'm at work today, so that's something.

Brandi, yah, I don't think Penny would figure it out either. And she's REALLY food motivated.

Also, I <3 Oskar.

QOD: Def lunch. I love lunch! My favorite foods are soup and sandwiches, so lunch is my meal! I like going to brunch, but I try to go after 11, so I don't feel weird about ordering lunch food. :)

Hi. Crazy weather here in CA- was 80 degrees yesterday. I really didn't do much on my job search this week- I was feeling sorry for myself most of the week and needed some mindless "me" time. I need to hit it hard next week though.

Oskar is the cutest thing...smart too! Maureen- hope you are feeling better. Brandy- your workouts lately are crazy! No wonder you've dropped some poundage. I've been working out about 2 hrs a day but haven't lost weight yet. Argh!

saw the surgeon today for a follow-up on my ankle: all good. no problems, no restrictions, no need to go back. Got a copy of my x-rays and my op note. Great pics and good reading - my ankle was jacked up!

QOD: I love breakfast too - especially when I have dinner for breakfast! Like salmon and rice, etc. This morning I had steamed squash for breakfast. MMMMM.

KJ - don't feel bad about taking a down week. It sure sounds like you need it and the "me" time. Good luck getting going next week with the job search.

I am cranky. Again after my run I had the headache aura thing going on and so I took Excedrine Migraine. I feel dizzy and like crap, but am functioning. I never used to get headaches and I feel like I have been slammed lately. WTF. Not cool.

Not that I really know a thing, but do you need to drink something with electrolytes after your run?

Today I drank nuun both before and after. I have also been drinking a ton of water and tea lately because I was afraid it might be dehydration.

QOD - I'm with Litch, the next meal is always my favorite I do love me some breakfast foods though esp when for dinner. I am, however, also a big fan of snacking so sometimes when I do a lot of smaller snackie meals I really crave a regular sized meal at any point in the day.

Hey, all. Busy morning for me. I went to Mass, then worked out with the trainer, then had a 90 minute massage. Ooooh, did that feel wonderful.

One thing the massage therapist said to me that was weird new information is that for women, when our chins jut out, it affects our neck and shoulders a lot. This is why a lot of old ladies have humps on their backs. This can also lead to major headaches. I don't know what you're head position is when you run, RIL, but that may be a simple thing to keep an eye on.

I also just got a call from the chiro that my tens unit has arrived. It's stronger than typical units, but it's not super deluxe. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I have an appointment Monday, so that's when I'll get it. OMG, I love how that feels.

((((kj)))) Enjoy your me time. You deserve it and will be more focused on the job hunt for having taken it.
