Recap on my life:

- I've actually got most of my holiday shopping done. I just have two more stops that I think I will take care of in the morning

- Long work story. You can skip if you wish. My boss finally chewed out the two programmers who haven't' been looking at my work for reference. I've known this for months and kept telling them to refer to the documents I'd given them, while still answering their questions. Their drop dead date is Monday . On Friday morning they went into his office to say that they weren't going to be ready because I hadn't given them all the information that they needed and that they were just now being made aware of business rules that they didn't know before. Ha Ha! They've had them all along. I'm so glad that I cc'ed the project manager on everything. They were trying to make me the scape goat but the truth is that both of them have problems taking direction from a woman (me. I'm not the only person who has noticed it.) So, they disregarded most of what I gave them. Knowing this, I made the project manager aware of it. The project manager and I have been testing the system for the past two weeks and it's not ready. We kept sending in bug after bug, and I kept expecting to see some, at least a little, anxiety on the part of the programmers. Nada all week. When they went into my boss' office on Friday, I could hear him yelling from the other end of the floor. Don't get me wrong. I'm not happy that they got chewed out. I'm not happy that they won't be ready. I'm happy that my boss took the time, all these months to review the work that I was doing and that when push came to shove, he stood up for me.

- The big company Holiday party was on Friday. Very nice, I was treated to a very nice scotch and I was forced to take part in the dance off. I was neither eliminated too soon or too late.

- Putting up the Christmas Tree tomorrow. Yay!

- it's 17:15 and I'm craving ham, pancakes and hash browns. I miss going to brunch. For My New Year's resolution, I vow to find a brunch partner.
