Morning peeps. Ailiarie - James did get socked with a head cold this week. He was knocked pretty hard on M-W, but then bounced right back and is fine now. Wish I was. I still have residual ickiness.

Crane - that sounds delightful!

Nice work Moonie!

KP - hope the healing is continuing well.

Brandy - hope your mom is doing better.

I have a TON of stuff to do to get ready for our GOTR race tomorrow. My house is full of fun signs right now though. :)

Off for a short run with DH on the trail.

When I can move I'll put some up. Last few pieces of flooring are all in. Stove and fridge are back in. Dh just got the toilet hooked up. Half bath sink is not back up. (The way the previous owner installed it was sort of wacky, so Dh needs to work that out. heh.)

Still need to paint the quarter round & put it back on. And now I feel like I want to paint the walls cause the color isn't right. :sigh: Still, we're making good progress. I can get started on painting the dining room, and Dh can get a move on finishing the other floors.

Well, that was a heck of a week off.

I've been working on my under-deck roofing this week, but took a break to do some brush burning on Thursday. I got some poison oak on my face (probably from some tool handles which DW had used) that evening and had a systemic response going by Friday morning. My right eye was swollen mostly shut, rash on face, neck, arms, upper legs. I'm so freakin' allergic to this stuff. Hit the Doc early on Friday to get an Rx for prednisone (pretty much my only option), then went to PT looking like the Walking Dead. Rented a large tow-behind chipper and spent Friday afternoon and Saturday morning blowing through a whole bunch of large tree limbs from the 7 trees we recently removed.

I returned to my deck project yesterday and today and was getting close to wrapping things up late this afternoon when I made a misstep and tumbled off the ladder while hanging some gutters! I fell from a few steps up and landed on my back, the back of my left hand and then dragged my right shin across something. Oof. It feels like I've been in a medium speed bike wreck. I'm all scraped up and my face and neck are still all blotchy from the poison oak. I'm not looking forward to dragging my ass into work tomorrow. I look like a hipster lumberjack with my 10 day beard and skinny glasses (contacts were pissed at me too).

Oh, and I have a new boss (my fifth in five years) who starts work tomorrow! Joy.

Congrats to James and his FB team!

Good running Bob!

Nice double digits, Moonie!
