This irks me. Why do women have women only events? If there were men only events, there would be a protest!!
They have women's only races because they are very popular and make tons of money for the race director.<br><br>
Women new to the sport tend to get intimidated by men. This brings them in.<br><br>
There are enough tri's enough for me. Women's only are ok with me.

They're "OK" with me too... Just seems odd that our society thinks it's acceptable and even "empowering" to have an event that excludes one sex - but not the other.
